Movement is one of the simplest and most powerful ways we can support our cognitive function.

Brisk walking, swimming, cycling, or dancing helps increase blood flow to the brain and supports long-term mental sharpness.
Activities that involve coordination and focus seem especially helpful for memory, clarity, and mental flexibility.
Strength training also supports overall vascular health and resilience.

The good news? We don’t have to pick just one. Mixing different types of movement appears to give the best results.

Aging Well Water Aerobics starts on June 1! We're excited to get back in the pool this summer! Classes will be held on Mondays & Thursdays 11am-12pm, from June 1-August 13, 2026 at the Craig Swimming Complex - Shallow Water. There is a suggested donation of $3 but no one is turned away due to inability to donate. Learn more about all of our Aging Well offerings at northwestcoloradohealth.org/agingwell.

This timeless practice is challenging yet accessible—perfect for anyone ready to return to life with vitality, balance, and control.

Pilates is whole body movement while including focus on breath, alignment, precision, control and centering. For 45 minutes, we will practice concentrating on the mind and body to deliberately command the muscles to perform exercises safely and effectively rather than relying on momentum.

Starting this Sunday, Sunday Reset will now be at 7:15 AM.
We’re shifting to an earlier time so we can all soak up more of these beautiful summer mornings and get outside afterward! Longer days, more sunshine, and plenty of time to enjoy Craig’s amazing outdoors after class.
Same great class — just an earlier start so you leave feeling grounded and energized for the day ahead.
