⚾️🥎Teams have been made and coaches placed! We will have our coach's meeting next week, and after that you will be hearing from your child's team! Practices will start at the very beginning of May, games will run 5/20-6/19. You will receive your schedules and concessions stand assignments at your first practice. Looking forward to another great season!

⚾️🥎Important Update for our Cowden-Herrick Summer Recreation League 2026 season:

We have made the decision to move forward into this summer season with only T-ball and Coach Pitch leagues. This will ONLY include boys and girls Pre K (age 4 by summer) through Current 2nd graders.

What this means: if you have a current 3rd grader-7th grader, we will not be offering teams in that age group through Cowden-Herrick Summer Rec League this year. This is due to lack of parent volunteers for this age group. If you have a player in that range, please be sure to make other arrangements if they are wanting to play.

For our T-Ball and Coach Pitch families, be on the lookout for registration forms in early March!

🌟New Year - New Opportunities! 🌟
We are looking to add some new team members for our 2026 Cowden-Herrick Summer Recreation League season! If you (or you and some friends!) are interested in any of the positions below-please let Kelli Black or Jaclyn Golding know by February 15th!

We have a firm deadline of February 15th because unfortunately if we don’t find people for these positions we will not be able to continue running the CH Summer Rec League and want to give families enough time to sign up for other leagues if need be. So please share with anyone who might be interested!

⚾️🥎Scheduler: A contact person for surrounding league schedulers to coordinate game times with. Might be on call throughout the season to help handle rain outs and things like that.

🥜🍿Concessions: (could be fun for a group to handle!) In charge of ordering and stocking supplies for the concessions stand using league funds. Also in charge of scheduling workers (we’ve had league parents sign up in the past but are open to new suggestions!)

🪏🌱Field Maintenance: (possible paid position!! 💰) Looking for someone available to tend the baseball field in Cowden. This would be using provided equipment to tend the field before some games and mow outfield weekly. Depending on availability/compensation, open to someone willing to chalk fields before games as well to help out the coaches. Would be great for a responsible teen or retired adult!
