PSA...
We were asked by the park supervisors relocate hole 15. We obliged by adding a new hole behind 12 (ISLAND hole). You will now walk through the opening on the backside of the of the island wall and continued straight on the new path to new Hole 13. You will throw up the hill then walk off the fairway to your right towards the pavilion. After playing former hole 13 and 14 ( which will be re-numbered 14 and 15 eventually) you will see logs blocking the way to former hole 15. The new path to hole 16 cuts to the left there and connects to the old path leading down to hole 16. New directional arrows will be placed as soon as we get the chance to help with navigation. Please pass the word along.

Here is the newest addition to the course on hole 4. Provided by Shawn Welker.

Today marks twenty years since the founding Father of Disc Golf, "Steady" Ed Headrick, passed away. With the modern day Frisbee he invented at Wham-O, Ed was the Johnny Appleseed of Disc Golf. Ed founded and coined the term Disc Golf and was a pioneer for the game he created and loved so much. Ed established DGA, the PDGA, the rules of the game, invented the first disc golf baskets, and went around the country to introduce the game to parks, cities, and anyone who would listen.

Ed would be incredibly proud of all of you who have helped spread your love for the game he envisioned. If you knew Ed Headrick, if you have ever thrown a Frisbee or played Disc Golf, please join us here at DGA to celebrate the life of Ed Headrick, the Father of Disc Golf, the modern-day Frisbee, and our friend.

Ed Headrick passed away August 12, 2002, surrounded by his family, friends, and wife Farina at his home in Santa Cruz County. Read more about Ed Headrick here. https://discgolf.com/disc-golf-education-development/ed-headrick-father-disc-golf/
