Grateful to Compete 💪🇺🇸

Big thank you to USA Powerlifting and USA Powerlifting Washington for putting on an incredible event at Festival of Steel 2025.

To the volunteers, meet directors, judges, loaders—your effort makes it all possible. You give athletes like me a platform to push, compete, and grow.

This sport fuels me. It keeps my athletic fire alive.
And now I’m heading into prep for another meet this November—both as a competitor and as a coach, bringing someone else to the platform for their first time. That journey means even more.

Looking forward to many more USAPLWA meets to come.

Meet Recap | Festival of Steel – July 19, 2025

Squat: 342.5 lbs
Bench: 242.5 lbs
Deadlift: 440 lbs
Total: 1,025 lbs (465 kg)

✔️ Played it smart on squat — had more in the tank.
❌ 250 bench stalled halfway.
⚠️ 470 deadlift broke the floor, but I felt a tug in my left pec and made the call to shut it down. Live to lift another day.

This meet was a test. Now the goal is clear:
520 kg (1,146 lbs) this November — the total I hope to hit to qualify for USAPL Masters 1 Nationals in the 90kg class.

Back to work. Even when the days are full. Even when it’s hard. Especially then.

More photos coming soon once the photographer drops the finished set.

We’re drowning in information.
Everyone’s got a method, a shortcut, a system.

But none of it matters if you don’t pick up the bell.

Training—whether with a kettlebell or just your own bodyweight—isn’t about complexity.
It’s about showing up.
Pushing through.
Mastering a few simple movements until they become second nature.

In the military, we trained at all hours—no equipment, just effort.
Pushing through exhaustion, the cold, and the unknown.
Not punishment.
Preparation.

That’s where readiness and resilience are built.
Not in theory.
In movement.

Forget chasing perfection.
Forget chasing outcomes.
Focus on the process.

Master the movement.
Let the results follow.

👊 Ready to move?
Pick one movement.
Own it.
Let’s go.

Last week, I had one of those squat days where everything felt heavy.

– Slow reps
– Shaky walkout
– Zero snap in my legs
– Mentally not in it

I’d been stacking barbell squats, deadlifts, bench, kettlebell work—pushing every session. And my nervous system was smoked.

Most people think it’s just sore muscles.
But when your CNS (central nervous system) is taxed, the bar feels heavier, recovery slows down, and everything feels harder.

But here’s what most people miss:

✅ The slow reps still count
✅ The hard days still build strength
✅ You’re still on track—even when it sucks

Training isn’t always about crushing PRs.
It’s about showing up, especially on the days you don’t want to.

As the 4th of July rolls in, celebrate hard, rest hard, but don’t fall off track.

Heavy days are part of the process. Stick with it.

No excuses. No crowds. No BS. Just iron, sweat, and discipline.

This is where I train—and where I coach others to do the same. Simple setup. Serious results

Simplicity + Consistency = Results

Master squat variations with just one kettlebell. No complex equipment, just consistency and effort. Get stronger, simpler, and better—one rep at a time.

03/24/2025

One kettlebell.
Thirty minutes.
Three days a week.

That’s the formula.
And it’s more than enough—if you’re consistent.

This isn’t about motivation.
It’s about showing up when you don’t feel like it.
It’s about keeping a promise to yourself.
Every. Single. Week.

What would happen if you stuck with it?

Something’s coming.

8 weeks. One kettlebell. No fluff.

Just simplicity, consistency, and results.

If you train at home—or want to—this might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Stay tuned. 🔴

On this Veterans Day, I want to personally thank my fellow veterans for their service, sacrifice, and strength. We know firsthand what it takes to stand up for and defend our country.

I’m especially grateful for each of you who chose to serve. I honor you not just today, but every single day.

THANK YOU! 🗽🇺🇸⚔️🫡
