Good afternoon, Darter's past and present and future. This is Phil Felty and I am the acting President of Your DONKY Steel tip dart league and have served this position and others for over 6 years now. This is about as close to a State of the Union as I can get but I wanted to inform everyone where we stand, the obstacles to overcome, and what we are hoping for looking down the road.

Our hope was to start this past Monday for our new season. Due to a few members unable to play this season, we have postponed it and looking to start next Monday. We currently have 6 teams signed up (Ryan McMath, Lisa Fawns, Phil Felty, Tammy Schroeder, Nathan Chalk, Tee Jay). We would like to start with a minimum of 8 teams. Since Covid and the surgencies of soft tip, steel tip darts as become overlooked and has become more of a thing of the past. I would like to resurrect it with both new blood and old, to bring back a past time that I have enjoyed for over 30 years and rebuild this league not necessarily to where it was, but something everyone can take part of and enjoy.

Over the last 30 years, I have made a ton of friends, countless memories and got to indulge in a little competition (while drinking beer) and I want to help build something for everyone. If you have enjoyed playing steel tip in the past, have wanted to give it a try, or just want an excuse to hang out with friends on a Monday night I encourage you to reach out to me directly. My cell is 859-743-6880 and let's start getting some teams together and hopefully bring back some friends we haven't seen for a while. I have 2 new members looking for a team and that is a good starting point. SO LETS Fn GO!!!!!!!!

Darters of northern Kentucky dart league is starting backup starting in the next 2 weeks. If you are looking for something fun to do on a Monday night We can try to find a team for you or if you have 5 friends that would like to try it out and create your own team. Hey friends! Just to keep you in the very short loop we have… Marty found out last year he had lung,liver, and bone cancer. He did several treatments and it seemed to be working! A couple weeks ago we all found out his cancer had aggressively moved to his brain and they have given him days to live. 🥺 I realize we had to throw this together FAST and if you can make it to Squires in Lexington at 4 for a huge group picture that would be great! If you guys want to get your local group and take a picture that would be great too! It’s about remembering the good times! Marty most likely will be FaceTiming with us due to him being so fragile! So I ask that if you have pictures of Marty… please send them to myself or David Jason Hager! Or even if your group of out of towners gets a little book or Card and write down a great, funny, or just about darts memory! Just let him know how he has impacted this wonderful family of darters ALL OVER!

Bonus we will be having a blind draw as well! So I’d love to see you… give out hugs… and make sure he knows how loved he is!

Here’s the situation as of now.

The GMM will be 7PM Monday at the Legion.

We are currently looking at 7 teams.
We will discuss the format on Monday for whether we will run this season same as last, or if you guys want to do teams of 3 for more teams.

LOD after the meeting if we have enough players to make it happen!

GMM is being pushed back a week.

Last night LOD was fun. Congrats to BJ and Justin on the first place victory.

The board has made the following changes. We have promoted Shannon Bailey to VP, We have promoted Erica Carrol to secretary. We have added BJ Gallenstein to playing conditions.

We would like to thank Joe pence for serving on the board for the last four years and for being a vital and valuable member to our league.

We still need one more team to get to our quota to start the season if anyone is interested in signing up a team.

DONKY DATES!!!!!

September 6th - banquet and luck of the draw and hopefully sign up a team.

Our GMM will be September 8th with the season starting September 15th.

In order to have a season next season we need a minimum of 8 to sign up so please get your team signed up as soon as possible.
