Good news!! Doe Run's water levels are up and ready to go for a great season at the park!
For those who have ever wondered, water levels at Doe are lowered during winter and early spring to help prevent flooding in the surrounding watershed, to manage water quality, and to allow for maintenance, such as clearing debris from the lakebed.

It may be a little windy today but wow it is a beautiful day to take a hike!! Come say Hi to Doe Run, she's all spruced up after the Clean Up Day this weekend!

Join us this weekend at Doe Run Lake for the Maintain the Terrain Volunteer Event!! 🥾🍃💧

Join us at our Maintain The Terrain event to help keep our park beautiful. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors while giving back to nature. 🌿

We’ll provide gloves and garbage bags. You just bring your kayak or lace up your hiking shoes! Need community service hours? We’re happy to sign off on paperwork.

⏰ When: March 28, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
📍 Where: Doe Run Lake (1501 Bullock Pen Road, Covington, KY 41051)
Volunteers should meet in the parking area near the boat launch.

Great event happening at Doe Run this weekend!!

Don’t forget to join us this weekend for a peaceful morning of birdwatching at Doe Run Lake this Saturday! 🐦

We’re partnering with the Northern Kentucky Bird Club for a guided bird walk where we’ll search for waterfowl on the lake, lingering winter birds and maybe even a few early migrants making their spring return.

Whether you’re an experienced birder or just enjoy spending time outdoors, this walk is great for all ages and experience levels.

Join us and the Kenton County Public Library for this month's "Tales & Trails" where we are learning about geology! Explore stories and nature with guided outdoor activities including an interactive Story Walk, storytelling/reading, hands-on nature activities, art, and more.
