We’re excited to launch a new series of events designed just for adults who want to connect with nature and each other through outdoor experiences.

Our first session will explore Leave No Trace, a set of principles that can help us enjoy the outdoors responsibly while protecting the places we love. Through guided discussion, hands on activities and outdoor exploration, participants will learn simple ways to minimize their impact while recreating outdoors.

📅 August 25 at 6:30 p.m.
📍 Kenton County Public Library’s Erlanger Branch

And this is just the beginning! We have two more Nature Connections sessions coming up in early September:

🥾 Hiking 101
📅 September 1
📍 Middleton-Mills Park Shelter House #2

🌱 Health & Wellness
📅 September 8
📍 Middleton-Mills Park Shelter House #2

Whether you’re an experienced outdoor enthusiast or just getting started, all experience levels are welcome.

Good news!! Doe Run's water levels are up and ready to go for a great season at the park!
For those who have ever wondered, water levels at Doe are lowered during winter and early spring to help prevent flooding in the surrounding watershed, to manage water quality, and to allow for maintenance, such as clearing debris from the lakebed.
