Honda day completed at NorthEast Titans at Little T Quarter Midget Club .

Mario Kart - started first in his heat. Move back to 4th and did a great job holding on to fourth! Just gave him a solid sixth place starting in the B main! When there was a C main, this was definitely a blessing. C main started off well, right on the bumper the 5th place car just couldn't make the pass and settled right into 6th. Overall ended up finishing 6th which put him 12th place in the overall Junior Honda standings.

Accurate Power LLC Banana 160 - heat race started fourth, finished 4th but kept his nose clean and was right on the bumper of the third place car! Straight to the a main as there was only nine cars. And it all went downhill from there 😞 our last minute adjustment did not work out very well and he finished eighth. Multiple laps down... We will definitely get the car ready. Going better for the next race at Little T in July!

No racing today because of the inevitable rain. But let's recap last weekends race (where it also rained....).

Mario Kart - Jr Honda 120
Wow did we start the day off with a bang! A good bang!! Started second in his heat race. Kept up with fast Madison, coming up on lapped traffic, She got stuck behind the slower car and JJ was able to sneak by holding off a fast charging Ami. Laps counted down quickly and JJ finally did it. He won a race!!!

Started second in the A main, and ran out of room on the back stretch coming to the green and ended up breaking his front axel. He was able to stay on the track, but finished 8th a lap down.

Get it fixed and back out there next time!!

Godzilla - Jr Animal
Coming off the Honda heat win, I forgot to switch over the transponder so JJ was sent to the back. We also forgot to check air pressures so it was just a slow rolling heat race. But JJ did finish the race in one piece!

Going into the A main, JJ started second. He had hard time staying there and did end up a lap down by the end. But it was just what it was and we will find speed here next week.

This race was tough to get going, line up was fine, but these 6 juniors. At one point JJ pancaked the outer back stretch wall. Looked like we were ok, catching up on a car to pass... But all of a sudden JJ lost all speed. Finished 5th in the heat and came off track with a flat tire. No wonder he lost speed!

Fixed tire, got back out there for the main race starting 5th. Race got going, JJ spins out. Mad at himself, and feeling like something wrong he comes off into pits. Pushed out, race goes green and JJ exits under green. Hard lesson to learn as he was DQed; but did know he couldn't drive a car win no steering column!! Guess that broke when he flattened tire in first race.

It shall be fixed and on to next week.
