Retro Flex Gym provides several fitness and wellness services. Those services are divided into four main categories; Fitness Training, Strength Training, Nutrition and Wellness and Skill Development. Within those four main categories services will be offered that include but are not limited to; conventional fitness workouts, unconventional fitness workouts, speed and agility training, power workouts, cross-fit workouts, nutrition education classes and meal planning, and nutritional supplements.
The company serves the general public, high school athletes, middle school athletes, collegiate athletes, law enforcement, and military personnel. Additionally, in partnership with the regional and national weight-lifting competitions and sanctions, Retro Flex will offer specialty programming to prepare athletes for competition and enhance their physical training. High School and Collegiate Athletes will also prepare to become stronger and more agile at Retro Flex; our company will partner with local recreation organizations, county athletic leagues and schools to provide additional help in fitness for students.
Retro Flex Gym offers an old-school approach combined with modern science to produce better results. This different style varies from all the competition and truly sets Retro Flex Gym in a category by itself. With more grit and edge, many of Retro Flex Gym programs and products are not offered at other fitness centers. Cross-fit, Power Lifting, being two programs that will be original to Retro Flex in the market. The company’s hours set the company apart. The center will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will be accessible by keypad.

Advantages to patrons working out at Retro Flex Gym begin with the one-on-one trainer who cares about the personal health and overall well-being of clients. The customer service of the company is more personal and hands- on. People who are employed by Retro Flex Gym are in great shape and display a positive attitude and a great fitness example. Additionally, the atmosphere of the center will be open, non-judgmental, supportive, old-school and edgy. The availability of services will allow for more accessibility for members and people who want to participate in fitness as those who are not members can also pay for just one day of workouts. We can offer personalized services for women and create a more private setting as needed. Customers do not have to own a membership to participate in classes or to use the gym, participate in workouts or receive personal training.
The idea for Retro Flex Gym came as a brain child of Hunt Darden and his wife’s passion for powerlifting, strength training and fitness.
Hunt Darden was born on September 21, 1987 in Franklin, VA. He graduated from Southampton High School. After that, he received his Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Then he enrolled and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Chowan University. His professional working career is varied. He has worked as a Machinist in an Automotive Machine Shop, Lineman for a Land Surveying Company, Agricultural Associate, Personal Fitness Trainer at the YMCA, Wound Care Technician and is currently a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
Christii Darden was born on April 30th, 1986 in Long Beach, CA. She graduated from San Jacinto Senior High School. She then joined the United States Navy in 2004. While serving in the military, she received her Associates Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She served as a Personal Trainer and Physical Fitness Program Manager for seven years while in the military. She recently retired from the Navy after 14 years and is now working on her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling.
Their areas of expertise are personal training and caring for others. They both hold certifications in Personal Training and Infant and Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid through the Red Cross. Facility organization, fitness and wellness education and equipment knowledge are huge strengths of the business owners. Areas of weakness are business management and bookkeeping. Retro Flex Gym will secure the services of a management company and accountant to handle bookkeeping, customer service and overall membership and business management. Mr. Darden and Wife, Christii Darden, will handle management of the facility, recruit members, interact with the community, conduct classes and workout sessions and act as the company’s spokesperson.
The gym and working out are big parts of the Darden’s life and always has been. Retro Flex Gym is important to them because it allows them to do something that they love while giving others the tools to lead better, healthier lives. Mr. Darden’s extensive education in the healthcare industry gives him the inside track on how important wellness is.
Owner, Hunt Darden and Wife Christii both have the charisma, personality and training needed to motivate clients and customers. Their strong bond as a couple can only inspire other couples to get in shape and work out together. Both are extremely physically fit and set a strong example to Retro Flex Customers. Both are dedicated to their own workout regimen and nutritional wellness.
