ATTENTION: I hate to think of winter already but I'm afraid it will be here sooner than we think! Moving forward to indoor/winter/church play for the winter 2026/2027. We (Linda) will have to contact the church within the next month or so to confirm that we can again play pickleball in the Gospel Tabernacle gymnasium. My question to the group is: Is there enough interest for the winter? Who wants to play? Summer attendance has been very low. Please comment yes or no below. At some point I will get a survey ready for Team Reach in case not all people are looking here. Thanks everyone!

Four of our group travelled to Rochester, NY today for a Pickleball Clinic. Lot's of information, some good drills and lot's of fun! Thanks for going Faye, Kerry & Pam!

Do you know what Pickleball is? Have you ever wanted to try it? It's a fast paced game that combines badminton, ping pong and tennis. It's a game for all ages. Pickleball combines fun, fitness and friends all together! We have younger kids that play along with people in their 40's, 50's, , 60's and 70's! It's fun, it's addictive! Did you know there is a group that plays regularly in Coudersport? Summer play is at CARP Park Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00 PM until dusk. I am guilty of overthinking...

🥒🎾 YOU DIDN'T FORGET HOW TO DINK.

Read that again.

You didn't lose your touch.
You didn't suddenly become a bad player.
You didn't wake up one day unable to hit soft shots.

You just started thinking too much.

And that's exactly what happens to thousands of pickleball players.

At some point, we stop playing naturally.

Instead of trusting our hands, we start questioning every shot.

❌ "Am I holding the paddle right?"
❌ "Should I hit harder?"
❌ "What if I pop it up?"
❌ "What if I miss?"

Suddenly, a shot you've hit thousands of times becomes difficult.

Sound familiar?

The truth is…

Your body remembers.

Your instincts remember.

Your touch is still there.

But overthinking creates tension.

And tension kills feel.

The best dinks aren't forced.

They're trusted.

The best players don't obsess over every movement.

They let repetition do the work.

So next time you're at the kitchen line…

Take a breath.

Relax your grip.

Trust your eyes.

Trust your hands.

And remember why you fell in love with this game in the first place.

Because pickleball isn't about perfection.

It's about rhythm.

It's about patience.

It's about confidence.

And sometimes…

The less you think…

The better you play.
