I'm a big fan of SIMPLE! Soft plastic swimbaits are without a doubt my favorite way to extract walleyes (and frankly everything) out of shallow weeds early in the season 🤘 The 3" Crush City Mayor on a 1/4oz VMC jig is almost impossible to beat.

-Single hook catches fewer weeds than trebles
-A pack of baits and a pack of jigs costs the same as a single jerkbait
-Cast it out, reel it in, catch walleyes - repeat

Big bluegills will never NOT be a blast 🤘 I had a couple hours to sneak out with my buddy Brian from Big B's Guide Service LLC a few days ago to chase after some big Madison gills - and holy cow what a couple hours of fishing it was - the most bluegills at or past the 10-inch range I've ever seen in one day (22 of them to be exact). We are so lucky to have such a diverse fishery here in Madison. If YOU want a shot at a giant, get ahold of Brian!
