Jimmy’s #27 sportmod in Arizona that raced with the Lucas oil modifieds on asphalt that we converted to dirt after racing roseburg one year in Oregon on asphalt before creeping to the dirty side! Muller is his brothers last name that lives in Oklahoma. I changed his last name legally to Owen in 2011??

Happy Memorial Day weekend from Owen Racing! We have a sad announcement to make this morning but must be done. I’m retiring the #38 Sportmod forever. The car owner Clayre isn’t available to tow the car to the tracks this year or any other year so we will be working on making it a planter like I promised 13 years ago. I was unable to secure sponsorship at the first of the year so this was a hit and miss year for the driver but there is no funding this season for the car to operate. The driver is currently resting his body and will not return for a full year racing until his muscles are tended to if ever! I was trying to secure one last full season for Jimmy but I wasn’t able to. This decision is written with flowing tears.

Change of plans!! Didn’t have enough sponsorship money raised to race this weekend and a cancellation came up for our rooms at the beach for tomorrow and Sunday!! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Good luck to everyone racing!!
