Cottage Grove Rodeo Calf Riders, Ages 6-10 (as of January 1st, 2026.

~This year's Friday Night Calf Riding at the Cottage Grove Rodeo is proudly brought to you by Lane & Lindsey Potter, owners of Lane Potter Livestock Services and L-P Hair Studio.
Lane and Lindsey are much more than sponsors—they are hardworking members of the Cottage Grove Riding Club and play a huge role in producing the Cottage Grove Rodeo each year. From painting and repairing bleachers, mowing fields, working the arena, and helping install new pens, to countless other behind-the-scenes jobs, they are always willing to lend a hand.
During the rodeo, you'll find Lane in the arena helping get the kids safely loaded on their stock in the chutes, while Lindsey is busy organizing riders and getting them lined up and ready to go. Once the kids' events are finished, Lindsey continues volunteering her time in the Snack Shack.

Friday night Steer Riding entries are now open!

A huge thank you goes out to Chuck and Tina Collins of Maple Creek Ranch for everything they do to support our rodeo youth. Their contributions go far beyond sponsorships. Chuck can often be found in the chutes sharing his rodeo knowledge, encouraging young riders, and helping them build confidence in and out of the arena.

Tina is also a dedicated board member of the Yoncalla Rodeo and works tirelessly behind the scenes to support the sport she loves. Whether she's handling paperwork, carrying the American Flag during grand entry, or helping to keep things running smoothly, her commitment to rodeo is unmatched.

Chuck and Tina truly love the sport of rodeo and the next generation of competitors who will carry it forward.

Thank you to the generosity of Boulder Creek Excavation and Queeners Premium Beef, calf riding entries for ages 6–10 are now open!

Boulder Creek Excavation specializes in residential and small commercial excavation, including septic systems, dump truck services, roadwork, and aggregate materials. Jeremy and Jennifer are proud supporters of local youth, not only here at the rodeo, but also through 4-H, FFA, high school equestrian teams, and many other community activities. They are wonderful people to work with no matter the size of the job, so be sure to give them a call for your excavation needs.

Wanna run the cowhide race at the Cottage Grove Rodeo but don’t have a partner?

I know a 12 year old strong determined country girl who wants nothing more than to be drug across that arena on a cowhide. So if you got a safe horse and want to partner up with her send me a message and I will connect you with her parents to set up some practices!!

The Cottage Grove Rodeo would like to extend a huge thank you to Jessica McMahon, owner of Fast Cash Barrel Horses, for her support of the next generation of barrel racers.

Jessica specializes in training, breeding, and campaigning quality barrel horses, while also taking the time to give lessons, clinics, and encourage the equine youth in our community. Her dedication to developing young riders and quality horses makes a lasting impact on the future of our sport.

If you're planning to enter, be sure to sign up early—this division fills up fast! There are only 20 spots available each night. These young competitors will run at 4:00 PM with the goal of posting one of the five fastest times and earning an invitation to return during the main rodeo performance.

Those top qualifiers will have the opportunity to run under the big lights in front of a cheering crowd, all with their eyes set on winning a Champion or Reserve Champion buckle—a reward that reflects the hard work, dedication, and partnership they have built with their equine teammates.
