Alex Johnson, coach of the nation's 24th placing chess team at Nuevas Fronteras, will be teaching a summer chess and mathematics camp. Students will learn to apply their abstract thinking skills from the chessboard to better understand mathematics, science and logic. Camp will include prizes, a tournament, games, outdoor activities and other brain stimulating fun! Morning sessions (geared toward beginning players) run from 8:30-12:45 and an afternoon sessions (geared toward intermediate/advanced players) run from 12:45 to 5:00. Camp will cost $130 per session or both sessions for $250. Camps will run on the weeks listed below. Camp will be located at Zion Lutheran Church 8500 Hillside Trail S. Cottage Grove, MN
