Wow - have we really been this delinquent about posting? Oh, well. Stonefinger's Chris joined us (with a grand flourish!), and though Peter was absent, we still managed to get the periodic table question correct, but not the African waterway. And apparently we watch too much TV, but it paid off -- 1st place!

Well, we didn't use algebra, but we did use trigonometry to win the final tiebreaker last night! (Thanks, Peter!)

Typically, this would be an off-week for the Gangsters, but Traci's schedule got freed up at the last minute, so she recruited D. Chong and they braved the quiz as an unfortunately-not-so-dynamic duo. With the 4-point handicap in place, they performed solidly until the photo round where they were thwarted by John Calhoun and Emiliano Zapata. It was all downhill from there. The irony was not lost when Traci correctly identified "The Masochism Tango" in the music round, and the duo lamented their lack of knowledge of Shakespearean lineage and James Fenimore Cooper novels in the brutal final round. All-in-all, it remained an off-week for Gang Green. SPANKED!

I think Nora said it best: "We're number one! We're number one!" Apparently our new MO is to be relatively clueless for the first few rounds, then knock out a 1-2 punch in rounds 6-7. Now off to find Space Giants on YouTube...

Another shaky start in the first 3 rounds, but we managed to once again sneak up from behind with solid rounds 6 & 7 for a victory! No hard feelings for not knowing the newest America's Got Talent judge (really?), and it's good that we don't work in the medical field because we can't tell our maxilla from our coccyx (actually, we did know those two). Instead, we stuck to what we know best: a lot of random s**t! Well played!

To paraphrase Bill Murray paraphrasing Julius Caesar, "We came, we saw, we kicked ass!" Consisting of a diminutive (relatively speaking) foursome tonight, Gang Green languished in 3rd place for the majority of the night before swooping in for a solid 1-point victory following rounds 6 and 7. Though Traci and Erin will be haunted by the ghosts of Tony Sheridan and Daniel Sickles, respectively, Beck, Soul II Soul, Hermione Granger and podiatrists all helped secure the win. Huzzah!

It's the return of Gang Green, featuring Peter KnowsItAll single-handedly dominating the 3rd and 7th rounds, with occasional contributions through the rest of the game from Jon (confirmation brain), Laura (Bottle Rock), Darin (Roger Staubach), Nora (People Who Died), Traci (many apologies to David Foster Wallace), and special guest Jennifer (Boyz II Men)! Even with the 2-point handicap, we managed a big win! Woot!

Gang Green joined with Stonefinger tonight to form the unstoppable Greenfinger at Tuesday Night Pub Quiz at Friar Tuck's! The team performed solidly in every round, from Gangnam Style to Mark Twain, including a perfect matching round -- on *numbers* of all things. (And speaking of Numbers, we still insist that Job is both a book of the Bible AND common slang for mafia activity...!) Well, played!
