Our boys didn't give up and came back with a vengeance! We needed the win tonight after a tough loss Thursday against a strong Marietta team. Back at it tomorrow as long as the rain holds off! Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U Come Back To Defeat Knights - Post 532 Senior Legion 18U

Despite trailing by as many as five runs, Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U rallied to best Knights - Post 532 Senior Legion 18U 20-5 on Friday.

Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U scored 12 runs in the third inning on the way to victory. an error scored one run, Layton Massie singled, scoring one run, Calan Shaw doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Nathan Lynch drew a walk, scoring one run, Cooper George singled, scoring one run, Gage Wright singled, scoring two runs, Calan Shaw drew a walk, scoring one run, Logan Ridenbaugh doubled, scoring two runs, and one run scored on another play.

Knights - Post 532 Senior Legion 18U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Remyngton Sparks hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Casey Lee singled, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.

Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fifth inning. Gage Wright drew a walk, scoring one run, Casey Lee induced Blaze Klein to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Layton Massie singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Logan Ridenbaugh singled, scoring one run.

Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U topped Chillicothe American Legion Post 757 18U 7-5 on Saturday at Newark High School.

Chillicothe American Legion Post 757 18U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Carson Chandler grounded out, and Wyatt Channell singled , each scoring one run.

Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U tied the game in the top of the second thanks to an error, and a ground out by Jesse Dudgeon.

A passed ball gave Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U the lead, 3-2, in the top of the third.

Connor Chandler singled down the right field line, which helped Chillicothe American Legion Post 757 18U tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.

Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U captured the lead, 7-3, in the top of the eighth when an error scored two runs, an error scored one run, and a wild pitch scored one run.

Gage Wright earned the win for Coshocton Cherokees 2025 Summer 18U. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none. If you didn't make it to Tufford Field last night, you missed one heck of a ball game! Cherokees walk it off against Utica Post 92 in the 8th inning! Blaze Klein came in clutch to start off the 8th inning with a double. The defense just couldn't come up with a ground ball by Nick Phillips and allowed Klein to score the winning run. Great team effort and proud of our boys! Nick Phillips, Mack Wilson and Layton Massie had the hot sticks each going 2 for 3 at the dish. Solid pitching performances by starter Calan Shaw and Mack Wilson who came in relief to pitch 4 innings and get the win. Wilson gave up 3 hits, had 4 strikeouts and one walk in 4 innings of work. Back at it tomorrow for our first tournament of the season. Keep it going boys! Go Keys!

It's almost time for Cherokee Baseball! There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, May 25th at 2pm at Ben Tufford Field.

There will be 2 teams: 17U and 19U. Any 8th grader going into their freshman year are eligible and welcome to play on the 17U Junior Cherokee team.

Post 65 Coshocton Cherokees come up short today. Took extra innings to fall to Post 92 Utica. Proud of the boys for making a comeback to tie it 5-5. Great group of young men. Congratulations to Post 92 Utica on their championship victory.

Sunday's game against Utica Post 92 18U was a heartbreaker for Coshocton Cherokees Post 65 18U, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat. The game was tied at five in the top of the eighth when an error scored two runs.

A sacrifice fly by Thomas Olon put Utica Post 92 18U on the board in the top of the first.

Nick Phillips singled, which helped Coshocton Cherokees Post 65 18U tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

In the top of the second inning, Utica Post 92 18U went back into the lead after Coshocton Cherokees Post 65 18U committed an error, Jack Herman laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Kamdyn Wheeler doubled, each scoring one run.

A single by Thomas Olon extended the Utica Post 92 18U lead to 5-1 in the top of the third inning.

Coshocton Cherokees Post 65 18U tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to an error, a walk by Logan Ridenbaugh, a ground out by Bentley Cunningham, and a single by Blaze Klein.

Nash Andrix began the game for Utica Post 92 18U. They surrendered six hits and five runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking two.

Brogan Shrimplin and Nick Phillips were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Coshocton Cherokees Post 65 18U while hitting back-to-back. Blaze Klein, Nick Phillips, Bentley Cunningham, Layton Massie, and Logan Ridenbaugh each drove in one run for Coshocton Cherokees Post 65 18U.

The Ben Tufford Tournament will wrap up today with Post 65 Coshocton Cherokees (3-0) taking on Utica Post 92 (2-1) for the championship at 3:00pm. A conciliation game will take place between The Junior Legion Post 29 (1-2) versus The Coshocton Junior Cherokees (0-3) beginning at noon. Come on down to Ben Tufford Field to cheer on our boys! It's a beautiful day for some baseball ⚾
