It’s almost football time in Cosby, girls soccer, volleyball, and here in a couple months girls and boys basketball. I encourage everybody to go support Cosby High School Athletics as a whole this fall, winter, and spring. Things are great in our athletic department, and they keep getting better! Let’s win us some championships this year!

Just saw this, but congrats to Cam Brannon on making the ETBCA 2nd team! Big achievement for your freshman year, and bigger things to come for you!

Another day and more players I am very happy to congratulate! Cam Brannon had a great freshman year and made the super freshman team! He hit .351 as a freshman, was terrific at SS, had some great games pitching, and was key in the leadoff spot. Stole 18 bases as well.

Gage McCarty had a great sophomore year and made the super sophomore team! Gage, hit .318 with 17 RBIs and 18 stolen bases as well. He played all over the field. Our LH catcher, outfield, SS, Pitcher, and 1B. Truly a utility player!

Last but certainly not least, Jakob Vanegas made the super sophomore team hitting .356 with 14 RBIs and 10 Stolen bases. He played multiple positions this past year as well. Was an outstanding CF all year, and was huge at 3B for us towards the end of the year as well.

Congrats to these 3 great young men! I love you guys and I’m proud of you guys. Let’s make these next 2 years special and achieve even more!!

Congrats to Jackson Brannon on another great year! All-Region 1 team! Great job Jack! Hit .430 this year with 30 RBIs and was excellent behind home plate and anywhere we had to put him.

Congrats to all of our guys who have made the team so far! There will be a makeup tryout for those who didn’t get the opportunity to tryout to be announced later, but congratulations to our returning Cosby Eagles and new Cosby Eagles baseball players!

We will STILL be having tryouts today. We will be in our indoor facility if the field is too wet! If you didn’t show up yesterday need you to come today! Go Eagles!

Remember RAIN OR SHINE we WILL HAVE TRYOUTS TOMORROW AND SATURDAY. If they are in the indoor facility they will just be an hour or a little more than an hour. Returning players will also have individual meetings after tryouts one at a time with all coaches! See you boys tomorrow! If you love baseball and want to play for Cosby and help us get past the regional next year then come on out!!!

Don’t forget about tryouts Friday and Saturday. Need to make at least one of the tryout days. That goes for new guys and returning players as well. We will have tryouts rain or shine. If it rains we will be in the facility. Tryouts will not be super long they will be between an hour-2 hours. Can’t wait to see everybody come out!

Slight change to the tryout schedule. The first one is on Friday the 22nd at 6:00. Saturday will be the same as it was before from 2-4.
