Let’s put the rumors to rest!!
We are downsizing the store. NOT closing, just shrinking. We will no longer be selling fi****ms or ammunition, but we will continue to accept fi****ms transfers. This was not an easy decision to make, but we need to change with the times. In this world of internet ordering we can no longer keep a large store full of inventory that doesn’t move because it’s cheeper online. We will focus on basic bait and tackle shop items and still provide quality and honest advice and service like we always have. Having said all this, I need to clear out space in a hurry! We currently have sale tables set up in the Fi****ms section and fishing section. Stop down and check out some great prices on a bunch of clearance items.

We lost another great outdoor sports enthusiast and great friend! I feel like we have had to make too many of these posts lately. 😢

Most of you know Steve Francefort as the man behind the counter here at the Den for over a decade. There are countless things we could say about him, however, we know he'd rather have his tribute from us be short and sweet. Loyalty is the word that we find to best describes his life. His loyalty to us at the Sportsman's Den, his loyalty to his 50 years in the Cos Cob Volunteer Fire Service, but most importantly his loyalty to his family. There wasn't a moment he wasn’t bragging about his grandkids or planning how to see them as much as possible. They meant the world to him and he let it show everyday. Please join us in sending love to his family and friends🙏🙏
Steve- Thank you for the years of friendship and dedication. Thank you for being my eyes and ears in my store when I wasn’t around. Thank you for teaching me many life lessons without me knowing. The endless stories you provided us will be shared and cherished. Until we all meet again, rest easy good friend 🙏🙏❤️❤️
