It was an unusual finish on the 1st playoff hole, but big congrats to Joseph Hinton on his 1st club championship victory. Also, congrats to Kevin Nash on his senior victory in his 1st attempt. Lastly, congrats to Rita Stocksdale on her Ladies Championship.

Dalton Morgan and his staff had the course in excellent shape especially given the challenging weather over the last 6 weeks and Joey Wiseman had a difficult, but fair, setup for the participants. The weather ended up being almost perfect and it was a great weekend. Thanks to all the players and look forward to seeing everyone back out here soon!

First of all, congrats to our pro Joey Wiseman for being medalist at today's indiana open qualifier!

Second, we've got to give a shout out to Joey for what he has done the last 10 days, which started with him having a pretty nasty stomach bug. In the last 7 days we hosted our invitational with 166 players, an Indiana junior golf event with 75 players and today's open qualifier. He had a lot of help from big brother Timothy Wiseman, PGA associate Jarrett Ferree, and many others, but the responsibility was all on Joey and he did a great job! Not saying he put in the hours in that maintenance had to, but it was a lot of work to keep changing rules, marking the course, etc to make the last week as successful as it was.

We have a great staff here at Old Cap that loves our course and we are very grateful for all of them! Best of luck to Joey at the Brickyard in early July!

First of all, big congrats to Mitchell Frederick on winning the 65th Old Capital Invitational, pictured here with Mike Bennett representing our sponsor, Eckart Supply. 10 under is a great score and his 63 from day 1 will be remembered as one of the best tournament scores ever recorded here.

Secondly, there have been enough flood pictures posted, so I won't show more, but they don't do justice to how much damage the course endured. Over a 50 to 60 hour period Dalton Morgan and his staff worked nearly round the clock to transform the course from something that looked like a scene in a bad zombie movie into a course that was tournament ready. Rumor has it that the final fairway was finished mowing at around 3:45 a.m. on Friday. We are extremely grateful to Dalton and his crew!

Lastly, even with all the work Dalton and his staff put in, the course still wouldn't have been playable without all the volunteers that pitched in. Golfing members and even just community members were out with chainsaws, rakes, shovels and more pretty much from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday and we are extremely grateful for all their help.

The staff still has a lot of work ahead to get the course back to the same pristine shape it was in just 7 short days ago, but I know they will. Hope to see everyone soon and thanks for all the support!
