Over the past few days, we’ve heard from members of our community seeking clarity about the values that guide our studio.
While individual staff members may hold a variety of personal beliefs and perspectives, those views are their own and do not represent WVPY, our teaching, or the experience we strive to create. Our focus remains on how we show up for one another and the experience we create for every person who walks through our doors.
We take seriously the care and commitment required to support our most vulnerable community members. Since our inception, we have supported local organizations serving marginalized members of our community, including the LGBTQIA+ community. Members of this community are welcomed, affirmed, and protected in our studio.
At WVPY, we exist to provide a clear space. A place to step out of noise and into presence. A place to arrive exactly as you are, with whatever life has placed in your hands at this moment.
Through shared practice, we create meaningful relationships and community rooted in awareness, deep connection, and self-inquiry.
Our commitment remains the same today as it was 11 years ago: to offer a place where people can move, breathe, connect, and practice without expectation, pressure, or the need to be anything other than themselves.
Our annual celebration of Pride is next Friday, June 12th at 5:30pm. This class is by donation and all proceeds will directly benefit the Oregon State Pride Center.
