Michael Easter (1961-2026)
Mike passed away last week from aggressive brain cancer. Mike was the long-term owner of Cyclotopia bicycle store in Corvallis Oregon. Mike with two partners open the bike store in 1995. The other two partners moved on leaving Mike the soul owner till he closed the store in 2022.

Michael wanted to share a song and a last wish that folks raise a glass , take a bike ride, get out in nature , etc..do something you enjoy and take a brief moment to think of him as he flys off into the blue..

The song is by a band called The Cat Empire : Protons,Neutrons,Electrons , you can likely find it online at your favorite music access spot.

"Hi" to All the people who made Cyclotopia a joy to work at all these last 27 years. I may have seemed a bit cranky at times, but I like to think that it was because I care about bicycles and all the fabulous people who use them. And by using them, gave me a chance to make a life doing something I've loved.
I am taking a bit of time to plan how the business returns and will post here with updates.
Facebook has been a challenge for me, but I think that it will serve me well as Cyclotopia morphs into; what? Perhaps "Cyclo2pia"

So, the hotel bought them. Here's what's next.

Cyclotopia is currently Vacating our Current location as the buildings been sold. Looking to re-open in new location 2023.

We would like to thank all those who have supported us through all these years and look forward to seeing you in the future.

A very moving story about how bicycles are changing young women’s lives.

Worldwide, 145,000 students in developing countries have received bicycles through World Bicycle Relief. Seventy percent of those bicycles have gone to girls. Only A Game's Karen Given explains why.
