Another successful Bounskee Night at in Corvallis! 15 people played in total- 9 regular ballers and 6 newcomers. It was a momentous night for me, personally, because just certified as an official Shotcaller so now I can enter the competition when she’s there! I played pretty solid for my “first night” and was able to win/keep 2 of the 3 baller chips that I was prepared to shell out. A baller saved is a baller earned, ya know?
didn’t make it easy. She was nailing some hundred point shots scoring 430 points in the High Score Contest (to my meager 150), claiming that baller chip. She was hittin hundies in the Classic Bouts mini-tourney too, going 4-2, but I went 5-1 to keep that baller chip. I also won the Overflow Contest with a score of 3 in 29.47 seconds. In hindsight, I don’t feel quite right about gunning so hard for the mini-tourney chip. In the future, I won’t challenge anyone- but I won’t back down from any challenge either! And I have no problem entering the other contests where everyone only gets one official entry per day.
Props to for beating me at my own game. He currently holds the highest average score in official Classic Bouts, but it’s possible I shot straight to the top there… we’ll see when I get around to stats. It’s a busy weekend and we have 2 weeks off of Bounskee Night so it may be next week before I crunch numbers (unless I choose to do that as a distraction from probably more important business…which is entirely possible).
A couple changes to the Bounskee Night schedule will be announced soon, but Benchwarmers ain’t budging so we’ll be back the 2nd Tuesday in June! Put it on your calendar?
