The 4th Annual Dirt Track Heroes Race Car Show and Benefit is Wed., June 28th at Quaker Steak & L**e Warren/Cortland, benefiting Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley! Co-sponsored by Legs Motorsports and Twin-State Auto Racing. The race car show (by invitation, due to space limitations) and live entertainment is 6-8 pm. Fund raising 4-10 pm will include 50/50, Chinese Auction and Wings for a Year raffles, plus 10% of in house food sales, with flyer. Entertaiment includes Huckin Fillbillys Unplugged, Daddy-O & the Diva, Taylor Barton and Joshua Lee Nelson! The beverage sales tent (beer) is sponsored by Lemon-Aide. With the threat of weather in the area, we decided to go to stateline speedway this week. With a very rough racing surface from the start, finished 6th in the heat from the 7th hole. By time the the crate feature started the track was in worse shape. Started 11th and finished 8 or 7th. Will have to take an extra special inspection of the racing car this week to make sure nothing got damaged. Will try again next week somewhere.
