After a busy weekend of dodging storms & rushing games to get them in before more storms hit, a busy weekend has come to an end.

The Lake Baseball 10U Sob/Rath went 1-1 in pool play in the OBT Curveball Community Classic - Five Tool State Qualifier. They earned the #6 seed in the Gold Bracket for Sunday. They ended up losing to (3) Golden Gloves in the 1st round.

10U Mikovich/Pugh went 0-2 in pool play in the 45th Annual Aurora Community Baseball Tournament receiving the #3 seed from their division. In the 1st round of the Bronze Bracket, they were eliminated by (3) Solon Stampede, who continued on to win the Bronze Bracket.

12U was also in Aurora and also went 0-2 in pool play, losing those 2 games by a combined 3 runs. They went to the Silver Bracket for Sunday. They ended up going 2-0 Sunday winning the Silver Bracket.

Another weekend in the books. The best thing about this weekend is the kids not putting their heads down after a couple loses and continuing to progress forward to end the weekend on a high note!!!

The Lake Baseball 13U are your 45th Annual Aurora Community Baseball Tournament CHAMPIONS!!!! They went 1-1 in pool play earning a #2 seed in the Gold Bracket from their division. After that opening day loss, they were on a mission to prove they belonged with the big dogs in this tournament outscoring their opponents 43-9 in the next 3 games. Big CONGRATULATIONS to all the boys & coaches for turning that 1st game loss into an overall just fantastic weekend!!!! They proved what can happen when you keep your heads held high!!!!

The Lake Baseball is heading to the CHAMPIONSHIP in the Gold Bracket at the 45th Annual Aurora Community Baseball Tournament!!!! They will play the winner of (2) Lyndhurst Thunder vs. (1) Aurora Greenmen as soon as that game ends.

Big thank you to Justin Michalovic & the GloveoftheGame!!! He met us at Maplewood Fields Saturday evening grabbing 4 of our mitts that needed some TLC. He had them delivered back to us Sunday morning at the fields by 8:45a in time for our first morning game. I guess we didn’t really realize how much he had done to these 4 gloves until we saw this video.

HUGE THANK YOU!!! We appreciate what you did for us so much!!! If anyone needs work done on any of their gloves, hit him up for sure!!!

The Lake Baseball 8U made it to the semi-final of the Y-Town Showdown Classic today before falling to SBC Baseball.

10U Sob/Rath earned a first round bye in the Gold Bracket at the OBT Changeup Community Challenge - Five Tool State Qualifier. They ended up coming up short in the semi-final vs. Aurora Greenmen, who ended up winning the weekend.

10U Mikovich/Pugh also made it the semi-final in the Battle for the Bone. They fell to Poland.

12U made it to the finals in Silver Bracket of the Diamond Prospects Battle of the 216 - Five Tool State Qualifier. They were beat by the Olmstead Falls Bulldogs.

19 games played by all the teams on this first nice weather weekend where all the teams were in action. Hopefully Mother Nature will continue to treat us right so we can continue getting games in and just keep building up the talents & confidence of all these boys who we are so proud of out there representing The Lake Baseball!!!

The Lake Baseball 13U are your Diamond Prospects Battle of the 216 - Five Tool State Qualifier CHAMPIONS!!!!!

They went 2-0 in pool play Saturday earning the #1 seed and a first round bye for bracket play. They then went 2-0 today to bring home the hardware!!!!

Congratulations to all the players & coaches on a great 4-0 weekend!!!!

Busy busy busy Saturday hopefully turning into a busy Sunday!!!

8U went 1-1 in the Y-Town Showdown Classic earning the #2 seed. They will face Pack (3) Baseball Club at 11:30aat Field of Dreams in Boardman.

10U Sob/Rath went 2-0 in the OBT Changeup Community Challenge - Five Tool State Qualifier. They earned the #2 seed and will face the winner of (6) Ohio Gators vs. (3) Aurora Greenmen at 11a at Arthur Genshaft Memorial Park in Massillon.

10U Mikovich/Pugh went 1-1 yesterday in the Battle for the Bone. We looked at the schedule and bracket, and honestly, have no idea what their plan is for today. Their GameChanger says they play The Pack Baseball Club at 10a Poland.

12U went 0-2 in pool play tying for the #6 seed. They will the other #6 seed DNA Raiders first thing this morning at Maplewood Fields by the Cleveland Airport.

13U went 2-0 in the Diamond Prospects Battle of the 216 - Five Tool State Qualifier. They earned the #1 seed. They will play the winner of (5) DNA Raiders vs (4) Maple City Primetime at 3:30p also at Maplewood Fields.
