💙 Opportunity shouldn’t depend on what a family can afford.

Through the Cortland County Family YMCA Membership for All (MFA) program, individuals and families facing financial challenges can access YMCA memberships, childcare, youth programs, summer camp, swim lessons, wellness opportunities, and more. The program provides sliding-scale assistance of up to 80% toward memberships and 50% toward childcare and programs.

Last year alone, MFA provided more than $34,000 in financial assistance to 184 individuals, helping remove financial barriers to childcare, healthy activities, enrichment, and community connection. The program expects to serve 200+ people in 2026 as needs continue to grow.

For working families, this support can mean access to affordable childcare that makes it possible to stay employed or pursue an education. For children, it can mean a safe place after school, summer camp, swim lessons, sports, and opportunities to learn and grow.

This is where YOU make an impact! Generous gifts from United Way for Cortland County donors help us invest in programs like Membership for All and ensure that financial hardship doesn't have to stand between our neighbors and opportunities to thrive.

The Cortland County Family YMCA will be closed on Monday for Labor Day. Starting Sunday, September 13th, our regular hours will resume, which means we'll be open until 4pm on Sundays.

The fitness center may be closed this month for some amazing renovations, but program registration is still open!
Starting Monday, September 7th, registration for Family Members will open. Take a look at our upcoming line up, which includes the next round of FREE SWIM LESSONS, swim team, soccer skills and drills, T-ball, Kids in the Kitchen and Little Picassons.
It's also not to late to sign up for Nerf Night, a free event taking place on Thursdays, September 17th!

Starting Monday, August 31st, 2026, the Fitness Center will be closed for renovations until October 1st. The renovations include new flooring, ceiling tiles and paint, new pin and weight machines, and a functional fitness section. We will have four peices of cardio equipment available downstairs for member use (except during Monday and Thursday evening spinning class) and members can use the Ithaca YMCA or Syracuse YMCAs with their Nationwide Membership.
The pool will also be closed for a week, starting Monday, September 21st through Saturday, September 26 for tiling to finish up the work from the Winter.
