Cortland Karate At Cortland Karate Center we provide traditional martial arts training in Shotokan karate, Okinawan Kobudo (weapons) and Batto-Do (Japanese Sword).

We are affiliated with Demura-Ha Rengo-Kai.

Congratulations to the Cortland, Ohio Demura-Ha Shotokan Karate-Do participants in the Genbu-kai Karate of Pennsylvania tournament in June, 2025. Pictured from L-R, David (DJ) Neely took 2nd place in Jr. Beginner Kata and 2nd place in Jr Beginner Kumite. Lydia Neely took 1st in Adult Kobudo Kumite (Women) and 3rd in adult beginner kata (women). Not pictured, Nora Smith took 2nd in Adult Advanced Kata (women) and 2nd in Adult Kobudo Kumite (women).
