What an fantastic end to the season for the Delta Barracudas!

At Seasonal State in Alamosa last weekend, our team was recognized as the Runner-Up for our Division! Be looking for our well-deserved plaque at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center soon! What an outstanding team effort!

We are proud to recognize Haddie Hellman as the High Point Earner for the entire 11/12 Girls division, and Coleman Bergquist as the runner up for the 11/12 Boys division. All 12 competitors from our team contributed points to our overall team score, which resulted in our 2nd place team award! Point scorers included:

And....it's a wrap! 2026 Summer Swim is behind us, with so much to be proud of, and much to anticipate for the future! Enjoy some pictures from the weekend, and mark your calendars to join us next summer! Plan to invite a friend next year to join the fun...!

A great Delta Mini Meet for our swimmers last week! Many developmental swimmers felt the thrill of competition in the pool for the first time, and a number of swimmers from our team qualified for a few final events leading up to the Seasonal State Meet! Thanks to Bill Heddles Recreation Center for hosting us!

Congrats to our developmental swimmers on a GREAT summer season! We loved having you in the pool this summer, are so impressed by the progress you made, and can't wait until next year! Keep your eyes peeled for updates in late spring 2027!

And, it's ALAMOSA OR BUST this weekend for 12 of our swimmers at the SEASONAL STATE MEET @ Adams State College. We are looking forward to swimming our best times yet in individual and relay events as the hard work of the season pays off in this FINAL meet. Our swimmers are looking to rack up points for their individual races, and for their team!

RESCHEDULED MEET INFO:
Delta Last Chance Mini-Meet will be rescheduled for this coming Thursday, July 23. Warm ups at 4p, meet beginning at 5. This will be for an opportunity for swimmers looking for official state cuts.

Competitive Swimmers-Normal practice Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. No practice Thursday.

Developmental Swimmers-If your swimmer is NOT competing in the Mini-meet, you are finished for the season! If your swimmer IS competing, you are welcome (but not obligated) to attend practice on Monday and/or Wednesday.

URGENT: A waterline has been broken in Delta and the meet this evening has been cancelled. We are very hopeful that it will be rescheduled...ASAP... so that state cut times can still be pursued. Check here for updates. We will post as we have them.

This weekend the Delta Barracudas competed in the 3-day West Slope League Championship at Colorado Mesa University's beautiful 50m pool. Our swimmers were FAST!

Cereal Celebration was a HIT! 🥳 Thanks to Bill Heddles Recreation Center for allowing us the space to celebrate a big-time week of swim practice!

Help fuel our swimmers with a FUN Cereal Celebration!

This breakfast will be for our hardworking Competitive and Developmental swimmers THIS Thursday right after swim practice (8:40a). It will be held on the outdoor deck through the pool area. Our ravenous swimmers are anticipating this special event already!

We are asking parents to donate one item for this cereal "potluck". Reach out if you can chip in with a box of cereal!

The Delta Barracudas had a wonderful showing at the Montrose Swim Meet last weekend! In addition to some impressive time drops, 3 new Barracuda swimmers competed in a swim meet for the first time! It was encouraging to see our seasoned swimmers cheering them on, encouraging their efforts and helping them learn to navigate the swim meet scene.
A special shout out to Jette C. as our girls team high point scorer, to Solomon L for our boys team high point scorer, and to Ava E. for undertaking our team's FIRST 500 of the year! Get it!!
