Santa Fe Swimming Club Corpus Christi's Premier Private Swimming Club The Santa Fe Swim Club opened in July 1957 with approximately 200 family memberships. and James C. Mrs. Fielding B.

Dues at the time were $7.50, plus a federal tax of $1.50. President Fielding B Cochran, Jr. Freeman, secretary, signed and numbered the membership certificates declaring membership in a non-profit corporation to be governed by a Board of Directors. Dr. James Barnard acted as the Chairman of the Committee which employed the lifeguards that would be furnished to the membership at all times. Cochran,

Sr. was the acting manager while Mrs. Bryan Scott was authorized to provide swimming lessons. Though some things have changed, much has stayed the same with Santa Fe Swimming Club of Corpus Christi. The club is still a family swimming club with 275 family members. The facility now includes a tennis court that wasn’t available in 1957. Swimming lessons, swim parties, and a competitive swim team are activities that continue. The high diving board was replaced with a low diving board, and a water slide is a newer addition to the pool. The board of directors is still filled by volunteers. The annual meetings continuing to be held in April of each year. Young families enjoy the pool throughout the day, while older members tend to be our early bird swimmers. With the improvement of a heated, open air pool, the club is now able to open earlier every spring and stay open later in the fall than it was in 1957.

‼️Join our Lifeguard class this April! We will be hosting our in-person portion of our course on April 25th - 26th, all online lessons must be completed before the start of our in-person training.

Who's ready to be a lifeguard this summer??🏊

🖊Sign up for our Red Cross Lifeguard Course at the Santa Fe Swimming Club! We will be hosting our lifeguard class on the 28th & 29th of March for those who are interested in joining. This will be both an online and in person course.

Participants must be 15 years or older in order to join, and must complete all online assessments before starting the in person class.

Deadline for signing up will be March 22nd at 12:00 pm.

Pool Heater Update:
Thank you to all our morning members for being patient with us while we get our pool heater fixed. Our heater is currently up and running now, and we have set the pool to a toasty 90 degrees! Please give the pool a day or two to get back to its heated temperature. Thank you and have a great day!

We will have Boardwalk Cafe & BBQ Food Truck🚚, a cannonball competition (first place wins a prize!), music and games!

Bring your bags of ice❄️to put in the pool to keep you cool for the August heat☀️, and bring your floats for a nice relaxing time!🛟
