As owner/operator of Doc’s Fishing Clinic & Guide Service, a small business dedicated in not only being a premier poling skiff guide along the Texas coast, but continue to provide the instruction to build awareness around flats fishing. With a foundation based in conservation, good steward practices, and fly fishing, I use a skiff for an on the water classroom that provides hands on instruction to

make you a better angler, fly fisherman, and all around waterman with the beautiful Laguna Madre as your backdrop.

Fishing has been so good lately. Even in this heat we are finding so many schools right now.

I personally have very limited dates left this year. No dates left in August and most of September. If you want to get on the water before I retire this December, hit me up for dates available in Oct, Nov, Dec.

Yesterday will be a day I will always remember. I hadn’t fished with Jon in a few months. The day started out rocky. I left my sunglasses in the truck and my spare pair was in another bag. The main focus of the day, I had to grab my charger from the floating cabin and then go chase some giant redfish I saw the previous week. That all changed. We hauled ass back to the truck, passing homies heading south, grabbed my shades, and we hit a spot I love to fish.
Jon brought his a game. This dude was flipping cast, skipping lures under grass, blasting them past fish running… he caught them all! We landed 8-9 redfish and one beautiful trout. All the fish were glowing like this one in the picture. Such a wonderful day with an even better friend.
