Eighteen weeks in, and Tuesday night was the night we finally saw 7 under par.

Week 18 ran smaller than usual. Fourteen teams, a $120 skin pot, and a $168 prize pool. Traditional scramble, so bogey is your friend, plus two closest to the pins and the weekly skins game. The wind stayed out of the way and the scores showed it.

3rd Place, 34: Zach Branam & Riley Riethman
Their 34 landed in a 4-way tie and they came out on top of it. If I know Riley, he still left disappointed. These two either go big or go home, and even in 3rd they opted to go home. That 4th chip is still out there, and I know they are chasing it before the season ends.

2nd Place, 33: Nico Trujillo & John Ortiz
First trip to the winners circle for both, with three birdies to get them to 3 under.

1st Place: Gabriel Leal & Josh Casteneda
Five birdies and an eagle to crack 30, and the youngest TNS champs in Gabe Lozano Sr. history. Great job, guys. Looking forward to what you two do next week.

Twenty teams, wind that would not quit, and a modified alternate shot format. One score came in under par all night.

Week 17 of the Tuesday Night Shootout is in the books, with a $240 winner's purse and $120 in skins on the line.

Riley Reithman and Owen Huntington took first with a 33. Riley has been smoking hot for the last month and a half, and this win ties him with William Wright for the most 2026 regular season wins. New partner, same result.

Richard Mauch and Paul Arriaga grabbed second at 39, in the most cinematic way possible. I was already mid-announcement on closest to the pin. "Mauch? I got a Richard Mauch in here?" Silence. Then in he walks, proximity marker in hand, scorecard reading 39. One quick tiebreaker later, second place was his.

William Wright and Chris Killian rounded out the podium, also at 39. Tough conditions, tougher competition.

Closest to the pin went to David Garza Jr. on 13 and Richard Mauch on 15. Both walked off with Blue Heron logo hats for bringing their precision out to Lozano.

Skins: Riley and Owen (birdies on 13 and 15), Ryan Modglin and Luke Wilcox (birdie on 14), Mike Wrigley and David Wells (eagle on 17).

The best part of camp week is the kid who couldn't make contact Monday and is striping it by Friday. Our next Junior Summer Camp at Lozano runs July 21–23 — full swing to short game, grouped by age and skill, and a whole lot of fun along the way.

We’re getting ready for a fun week of golf, learning, games, and skill-building for our junior golfers. From full swings to short game, camp is all about helping kids grow their game and have a great time doing it.

Week 14 Tuesday Night Scramble Recap

We introduced our new "Tee-Putt" format, where each team rotated a designated tee shooter and designated putter on every hole.

First, we want to thank everyone who came out and gave the format a shot. One thing we truly appreciate is the feedback our team has received throughout the season. It helps us make adjustments on the fly and continue improving the league week after week. Please keep the suggestions coming—they're always welcome.

Next week we'll be giving everyone a break with a traditional scramble. Depending on turnout, we may adjust the scoring to keep pace moving.

We'll also be implementing a new scorekeeping system. At the start of each round, teams will swap scorecards so another group keeps your score. This will help eliminate scoring mistakes and ensure the competition stays fair for everyone.

Now... on to the winners!

🏆 Closest to the Pin

Hole #4 – Pat "McCrotch"
Our Irish import stuffed one close on No. 4, leaving himself a tap-in birdie and taking home a Firefly hat.

Hole #7 – Edwardo De La Garza
Edwardo found the winner's circle for the first time with a beautifully struck mid-iron and earned himself a Blue Heron hat.

Riley Riethman & Brown Bedard

Another trip to the podium for Riley and Brown! They finished in a crowded group of teams at 34, but a birdie on the No. 1 handicap hole won the tiebreaker and earned each of them a $34 gift card.

🥈 2nd Place (33)
John Osteen & Wyatt Hunt

John reunited with his old partner, and whatever differences they had last Tuesday were clearly behind them. Three birdies led to a strong second-place finish and $51 gift cards for each player.

We couldn't be happier to see these two take home the title. They show up week after week, keep grinding, and this week it all came together.

Some said they didn't have what it takes.
Some said there wasn't a champion in their blood.
Turns out... they were all wrong.

Chuck and Seth fired three birdies and an eagle on No. 8 to lock up the victory. Stephen A. Smith doubted them. Vegas doubted them. None of it mattered.
