WOOD FROM THE ALAMO COMPLEX -Texas Grips is proud to be a frequent supplier of grips to many of our highly respected public servants in the Texas Rangers.
As a way to give back, Texas Grips will be holding a silent auction at their booth at the SASS Texas State Championships, at Comancheria Days in Junction Texas, April 9-11. We will be auctioning off pairs of revolver grips that fit the R***r New Model Vaquero.
These are more than just revolver grips. These grips are made from spalted Pecan wood from trees that were sourced from the ALAMO complex in San Antonio, TX by Texas ranger Jesse Perez. They are a true part of history. The grips are inlayed with a Texas Ranger mini badge, are checkered, and have a “Remember the Alamo” engraving.
There will be two chances to win, and the proceeds will be going to two great organizations.
The Former Texas Ranger Foundation and the Texas Ranger Association Foundation will both receive funds to continue their support of education, scholarships, Ranger family support, and the support of the Texas ranger museums in Waco and SanAntonio, TX.
These heroic and dedicated law enforcement men and women have been buying their custom pistol grips from us for many years for their duty and personal fi****ms, as well as for many of their fundraisers. We are proud to call many of them close friends.

These beautiful Mesquite wood Extended grips, with Checkering and Medallions, are 1/2″ longer and wrap around the bottom of the frame, adding more grip area for shooters with larger hands and for shooting larger calibers. They give a whole new feel to these pistols. These grips will fit R***r XR3 Frames including New Vaquero, Flat- Top Blackhawk, and SASS Vaquero. These grips do not fit the pre-1963 Single Six or 3 screw Blackhawk (see Old Style XR3). They also do not fit the New Vaquero .44 magnum (see XR3 Red). These grips fit all XR3 grip frames models with or without the internal locking mechanism. See also our regular version of this type of grip.

These R***r XR3 New Vaquero grips are made of Mesquite. They have a 1/2" extension which wraps around the frame to improve control and Comfort.

These beautiful Holly wood grips with Spanish Checkering will fit R***r XR3-RED Short grip frame models. R***r only released these grips on the Single Six .32 mag Vaquero, though there are reports of some .357 models with the same grip frame. We have an extended variant of this type of grip.
