Congratulations to Brian and Baher on their podium finishes at the Florida ANVIL Ultra Triathlon! They took on the grueling DOUBLE Ironman distance—4.8 miles of swimming, 224 miles on the bike, and a 54.2‑mile run—completed consecutively. An incredible achievement.

We had our annual Fruitcake Party last night. You bring a cleverly wrapped gift, valued at $25 (or more), and we have a white-elephant-style gift exchange. If you open the fruitcake hidden within the gifts, you keep the it in your freezer all year and host the party next year! This is one of my favorites!

Grand Boulevard was built as a race track. From 1913 - 1916, car races were held on Grand. This might be a fun course. Flat too!

After a highly publicized failure to complete a five-Ironman ultra-triathlon, endurance athlete Will Turner sets out on a 914-mile race unlike anything attempted before. Beginning with a 15.6-mile swim in Lake Tahoe, followed by 728 miles of cycling over brutal Sierra mountain passes, and ending with a 170.4-mile run near Mammoth Lakes, Turner battles fatigue, sleep deprivation, and unforgiving weather.
