Beginning Wednesday, 2/8, we will be removing dead and dying trees along with low-hanging limbs on the section of trail west of the Colebrook Trailhead to the Lancaster County line. We expect this work to be complete in the next few days. Please use caution and understand that there may be interruptions to trail traffic when trees are dropped. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please understand this is a hard closure meaning the entire construction area, including the trail, will be fenced off until work is completed. In recognition of the inconvenience to trail users, Met-Ed has generously agreed to make a very significant investment in trail improvements as part of this project. To prevent damage to the new trail surface, we are closing the newly paved sections to horseback riding until further notice. Signage has been placed at sections where the new stone dust is still too soft. Thank you for your cooperation.
