Held the first weekend in October, the Wineglass Marathon will celebrate it's 42nd year running in 2023! The Wineglass Marathon is a lovely flat, fast and scenic 26.2 mile race in the celebrated Finger Lakes Wine Country of Upstate New York. The Williams Toyota Wineglass 5K is the first race of Wineglass Weekend! This family friendly 5K is a great way to shakeout prior to running the full or half. The course is flat, starting and finishing by the Corning Memorial Stadium at Corning Painted Post High School. This year is extra special as we celebrate the 15th Anniversary of this event!

It’s time to start planning your 2026 Wineglass experience and our pasta dinner is a key event of the weekend! The pasta dinner offers an all you can eat buffet that includes gluten and dairy free options. It will give you the chance to meet and visit with fellow Wineglass runners and hear from our guest speaker Alexi Pappas!

It’s important to note that Corning is a smaller town, and it can be challenging to secure a Saturday night dinner option, especially for bigger families and groups. Tickets are available for purchase through RunSignup!

If you were to line up in 2011, a lot about your Wineglass Marathon experience would look the same as today! 2011 was the first year that our races finished down Market Street as well as the first year of the half marathon. The glass medals created at Hands-On Glass Studio in Corning were named in Marathon & Beyond’s round-up of the Top 25 Medals of 2012. 2013 marked a record year of participants with 4,500 runners registered representing 41 states!

The 2010 Wineglass Marathon is one to remember! Mandy Yates of Ohio crossed the finish line in 2:44:33, breaking the existing course record by 4 minutes. This likely played a role in Wineglass earning the vote of “speediest marathon” by 2010 Runner’s World readers.
