As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Trey uses his knowledge and 15+ years of racing experience to design a fitness program specific to each driver's individual needs. Based at Mountain Island Fitness in Charlotte, NC, Trey's program utilizes a strategic blend of old-fashioned weight tr
aining and new, unconventional techniques to maximize performance and improve endurance inside the race car. Trey's program also includes the only evidence based head and neck training protocol proven to reduce the risk and severity of concussion and cervical spine injuries. He is one of only two people in the state of North Carolina, and the only motorsports trainer, who is certified by the Head Neck and Spine Institute as a Head and Neck Training Specialist. This program strategically strengthens the muscles of the head, neck, and back to prevent concussion and spinal injury during an impact, and prepare drivers for the forces to which the neck is subjected under cornering, braking, and acceleration. In addition to training drivers at the top levels of motorsports, Trey competes in endurance karting races as a solo driver, completing six separate 24 hour challenges in a kart, three of them earning Guinness World Records, and three resulting in solo class victory at the Endurance Karting 24 Hours of America.
