Being diagnosed with ADHD at age 35 was both a spiritual and intellectual awakening. I realized I wasn't stupid, my brain is just works differently. Physically, chemically, operationally, I am different from ~95% of the population. And the good news was, I could use that knowledge to learn organization skills, improve my focus and concentration, and soften my social interactions all in a way that made sense to me and my ADHD brain.
