Another of my crazy ideas. I decided I wanted a nice exotic holster for my pre 29 1st year production smith 44 mag. I have never been able to shoot a 44 magnum well the recoil hurts me usually but this one is different. I dont know why but it is. I can shoot full house ammo all afternoon and enjoy it. Its also very accurate. I was shooting one afternoon with my son at the same distance I sight my rifles in at and put 5 of the 6 rounds on a paper plate. At 50 yards lane was making a can dance with 44 spls. So needless to say its not for sale period.
Back to the holster on my hunting guns I like some kind of retention. I may be riding my side by side 1 min next crossing a barbed wire fence next going thru a briar patch. I made a flap holster I use a lot but wanted something nice that if I have to leave hunting and go to the dr its sharp so I thought about an exotic skin inlay. At first I was going dark camen skin well like I dummy I cut it backwards so if anyone wants a left handed holster like this I got a camen cut ready to go!!!!! I settled on a lizard skin i had that was nice and ran with it. But here's what's so different the skin goes all the way up and over the thumb break I have never saw another done this way. I like pancake style as they stay close to the body and easy to hide with a light shirt if needed. It is a lined holster and has 5 total layer. These take me longer to make than a standard holster but I think are worth the time. I hope you enjoy and I'll be happy to make 1 for u if u like. Thanks for lookin.
