🦃 Youth Turkey Season is just over a month away, and General Turkey Season follows right behind it. If you still need Hunter Education, now is the perfect time to get certified and be ready for the spring woods.

Across Kentucky, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has student courses and range days scheduled statewide between now and turkey season — with more being added regularly.

📌 Who Needs Hunter Education?

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1975 must successfully complete a Kentucky Hunter Education course before hunting in the state.

Hunter Education covers:
✔️ Safe firearm handling
✔️ Ethical hunting practices
✔️ Wildlife conservation
✔️ Outdoor skills that build confidence in the field

Whether you prefer a full in-person student course or need to complete a range day after the online course, there are options available across the state.
