New Keeper rules for after this year!!!
This year as you all know, willl be a fresh draft, with no keepers from last year!
Going forward each team can still keep up to 4 players.
Any players drafted 6th round or later this year, can be kept next year in the prior round.
If you pick up a guy as free agent only (not waivers) he can be kept as your 15th round pick the next year. If you have multiple free agent pick ups you are looking to keep, the 2nd guy would be your 14th round and so on.
Any guys taken on waivers can be kept one round prior to the round they were drafted.
All players can be kept for 3 years only after originally drafted, but each year you keep them, you have to draft them 1 round higher than the last. (Ex. If you draft a guy in 20th round this year, next year he is your 19th, then 18th, then 17th) no players can be kept in 4th round or earlier. (Ex if you draft a player in the 6th round, he can be kept the following year in the 5th, but after that year can no longer be kept.)
If you trade for a player and you want to keep them, you can, in the round prior to the original teams draft pick but you will inherit their keeper status. (Ex. If they were already kept twice, you can now only keep them for one more year)
