We recently wrapped up our 2025 Volleyball Season by celebrating all of our levels’ accomplishments at our banquet. So many emotions go into a season and we couldn’t be more proud to finish at the state tournament.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the recipients of the 5th annual AVCA Best and Brightest Awards for Girls High School Senior student-athletes, and we are thrilled to have some of our very own WV stars making us proud! 🌟🤩

Congratulations to the following outstanding student-athletes who have been recognized for the award:

First Team

Second Team
🌟 Taylor Buhr

To be eligible for the Best and Brightest awards, senior student-athletes must have earned at least a 3.5 Unweighted GPA/4.0 Weighted GPA or above AND play in 50% of their varsity team’s sets during their senior season.

11/16/2025

Senior, Taylor Buhr, represented the Warriors at the 40th Annual Iowa Girls Coaches Association - IGCA Senior Volleyball All-Star match today. Taylor was 1 of 32 seniors selected to compete and played for the Hawkeyes team.

The day was jam packed with morning practice (only practice these squads get together), an awards recognition banquet, and 2-high level matches.

Congratulations to senior, Taylor Buhr, for being selected to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association - IGCA Senior All-Star Squad! 🌟

She will play alongside other incredible seniors from across Iowa to compete in the Senior All-Star Match this Saturday, Nov. 15th starting at 4:00 pm at Johnston High School.

Join us in congratulating Evan Schneider for being selected as Wapsie Valley Volleyball’s Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) Sportsmanship Award Recipient.

Evan has been one of our biggest supporters this season and we couldn’t be more proud to have him receive this recognition. THANK YOU, EVAN! 🖤💛

Evan was presented the award at the start of the 2A Quarterfinal match on Tuesday, November 4th and accompanied by his parents Tim & Leah Schneider.

Congratulations to these Warriors on an OUTSTANDING season and topping it off with a trip to the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) State Volleyball Tournament.

Although the season didn’t end how we had hoped, it was a well EARNED run with many BIG accomplishments.

THANK YOU seniors on an incredible four years, you have left your impact on this program. You upheld and implemented new TRADITIONS of your own, we are sure will continue. 🖤💛🏐
