Since 1950, the Maison Forestier has put all of their vast knowledge into developing the best saddlery equipment. Quality and longevity have always been the key points for all Forestier creations, whether they are custom saddles, training saddles or accessories. Forestier is a saddlery factory that was created by Jean Forestier in the 1950s. Mr Forestier was a self-taught saddle maker, learning th
e trade through hard work, with an aim towards perfection, and listening to the customer's needs first. Mr Forestier understood the importance of creating long-lasting saddles. It is not unusual to see Forestier saddle still being used 30 or 40 years later. The saddle is a sacred bond between man and horse, so it must withstand the tests of time while offering optimal comfort to both horse and rider. Due to growing demand, the Forestier factory established itself in the small French town of Segonzac, which is better known for its cognac. Mr Forestier inspired all his employees with the same enthusiasm that allowed him to become a master saddler. Since then, the whole team has continued with the same passion of well-made work and craftsmanship. In 2016, the Maison Forestier moved to the village of Bassussarry, in the Basque country of Southwest France. Among the oldest French saddlers, Forestier has remained faithful to its philosophy of offering unsurpassed quality saddles with a design that gives priority to the au comfort and well-being of the horse.
