✨Announcement ✨ I just wanted to make a post real quick because I’ve noticed a recent uptick in views on this page.

As of several months ago, I shut down my online training business and no longer work with personal training clients. I’ve been happily investing all of my energy into my current career path as Assistant General Manager at Crunch Fitness in Killeen, TX. I have taken my love of sharing fitness with others to the next level. Every day I get to share this love with others and help create the ultimate experience when they walk through those doors. I am privileged to work with an incredible team.

Sometimes in life we have to pivot and pray. That’s exactly what I did and I know I’m on the right path. 🙏🏻💕

I haven’t quite decided what to do with this page. I don’t want to take it down because I hope it still provides some value. It’ll evolve, but for now my attention and energy is in my career and my family.

Sometimes you have to let go to move forward.
In the time I took off from the gym, I lost 6 pounds.
I wasn’t really watching what I ate. I enjoyed treats I went out to eat. I had candy. But what stopped was the cycle of self sabotage.
I was happy.
Sometimes we push so hard outside of our true needs that we push ourselves into sabotage.
You’re fighting against yourself.
When you struggle, ask yourself if you are holding onto some thing or idea of what you ‘should’ do and if it’s making you miserable.
Ask yourself why you want it. Or ask yourself why are you stopping yourself. Do you truly need to change your plans or do you need to learn to get uncomfortable?
I took a month off and came back 6 pounds lighter, happier, and rocking a crop top. I might have lost a little muscle in my break but what I gained was far better. When I stopped going to the gym I was showing up in baggy shirts, feeling super insecure and self-conscious. When I came back I felt happy and free and I was truly feeling myself.
Sometimes a break is the best thing you can do for yourself. Sometimes pushing through hard times is the best thing to do for yourself. Only you can know which one is right.
At the end of the day you will wear happiness much better than anything else.

✨When you find your why, you find your way.✨

I recently revisited what motivates me and I realized…I stopped giving to others. Giving inspiration, advice, sharing my motivation and my journey. When I stopped sharing, my happiness decreased and my motivation alongside it.

If you’re in this fitness journey only for abs and to look good in a bathing suit, I’m sorry to tell you that your journey will be short lived. You need to go deeper than that.

Part of life’s happiness is found in giving- in serving - if we want to be fulfilled in any endeavor, we need to give to others. When I became overwhelmed, when life got hard, giving inspiration fell out of habit. I only had so much and I reserved what I had. Held onto it like a finite and valuable resource.

What a mistake. The more you give away, the more you receive. Like love. Like kindness. You give it. You attract it.

There is no limit on this.

I started this journey because of my love of inspiring others. I’ve been doing it for years. Before I was a trainer and before I made a single dime for doing so. Always starting challenges with my friends, asking friends to go on walks, runs, hikes, Zumba marathons, sharing healthy recipes. Preaching about my philosophies. My journey has always been based on helping others. My genuine love for fitness was rooted in sharing that love.

Bodybuilding turned me too inward. Only enough time and energy to focus on my own goals. That doesn’t fuel my soul. I need to inspire like I need to breathe. No wonder I’ve been so lost.

My journey is to help your journey. And without your journey, my journey means nothing.

PSA for everyone who competes, wants to compete, or admires competitors.

You do not have to be shredded to be beautiful, attractive, have a nice body, be desirable, be s*xy, or love the body you’re in.

Let me repeat: you do not need single digit body fat. You do not need to be on a forever diet. You can have curves and smooshy spots.

Hard work good. Curves good too. Don’t be down on yourself. You are f-in fire, babe. 🔥

Current physique as of this week.

Cool thing about body fat is it’s not permanent. You can make choices to change it anytime you want.

Drop a comment below telling something about yourself and I’ll follow you 💕

Random fact about me: I don’t do cold water. At all. I’ll burn on the beach before I get in cold water and cold showers have been known to make me cry. Yet I really want to try cryotherapy. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was flipping through old notes from a few years ago and I found a list of things I felt I needed to do to increase my social media following.

Here are a few:
Get Botox
Lose 5-10 lbs
Buy a new wardrobe
Eyebrows microbladed
Pro Teeth whitening
Learn to do my make-up better

Ooof. This was coming from a very insecure place and comparison. Not feeling good enough to compare with what I saw on social media. Subconsciously I was telling myself “if I change my outside, they will like me.”

Vomit.

See what social media can do to your mindset? How it can trigger insecurity? This misconception of perfection and not being enough? Thank goodness I’ve grown past this.

Here’s what really needs to happen to grow your following:
1. Be authentic
2. Share content that is useful/relatable/entertaining
3. Connect with others on a genuine level

That’s it. Anything outside of that and you’re aiming to attract the wrong type of followers. Just be wholly and authentically you.

“Burn out is not the result of doing too much. It is the result of not getting enough rest.”

Oh hi 👋🏻 It’s me right now recovering from a huge burn out. I have been lifting consistently for 8 years. I’ve never taken an extended amount of time off aside from recovering from surgery and even then I stayed intentionally active or counted my macros.

I have taken almost a whole month off and done none of that. I’ve RESTED.

How did I know I had really run out of gas? I wasn’t enjoying the gym. I counted the minutes until I could leave. Mentally in a fog all the time. Poor recovery and sleep. Low energy. Soreness lasting way longer than it should. Binging. Feelings of failure. Losing strength. Poor mindset. No interest in things I enjoy. Withdrawing socially.

Was all this caused by the gym? Absolutely not. It was life and work and juggling everything and trying to do it all. Dealing with roadblock after roadblock. Trying to be super human.

So I took 3 weeks off of everything. Went in again, and nope. Not ready yet. Another week off and maybe it’s time to go back. I’m still dealing with roadblocks, but there will never be a perfect time to start again.

Here’s what happened during my time off: I WANT to go workout again. Stopped binging which stopped the weight fluctuations and bloating and poor self-esteem. Ate treats and napped with no guilt. My body feels rested. I’m no longer in a fog and I have my creativity & inspiration back. I want to get back to doing things I love again. Feeling more positive and productive.

What I didn’t do was lose all my muscle.

The most important thing is to prevent burnout all together. Rest. You’re not super human. Go out and live life. Or take the amazing advice gave me “Dial back the amount of f***s you give.” 😆 (on an as needed basis. It pays to give a f**k too). Work hard. Play hard. Rest hard. Keep the balance. Don’t let it tip too long in the wrong direction.

Okay, okay. I’m baaaaaack. 👏🏻 Let me just end this whole sabbatical I’ve taken from my FB pages. MIA is an understatement. Unless you’ve been looking at memes/reels or pet videos in my Instagram stories, you haven’t heard from me much. So tell me friends, what type of content do you want to see?

Also. I think with the come back needs to a re-branding. It’s time. 🤔

Decide what you’re passionate about, and pursue it every day like your life depends on it. You only get one. Make it one you’re proud of.
No long caption. Just pride and the intense desire to do it all again but better. 🔥

A fresh start. A fresh approach to your standard fitness challenge. An initiative to change the way you approach your fitness goals.
An athlete doesn’t do fad diets. They don’t eliminate entire food groups. They don’t look at the scale as an indicator of their success. They don’t buy detoxes, fat burners, or believe in quick fix. They don’t focus on the number on the scale.
An athlete wins every single day before they ever win in front of a crowd. They show up with a plan. They fuel their bodies. They push themselves hard, know when to recover, educate themselves, and they trust the process. They create winning habits.
They focus on the process, not the result.
So why don’t we approach our own health and fitness goals this way?
Here’s my challenge for you. A 60 Day Initiative of trusting the process. Staying off the scale. No fad dieting or quick fix approach. 60 days to develop habits that will change your lifestyle and set you up for success for a lifetime of results.
Can you show up for yourself daily? Can you trust the process? Focus on the daily steps? Trust the true indicators of success like your strength, energy, confidence, quality of life, how your clothes fit, and your mindset.
Enrollment for my 60 Day challenge starts today. This upcoming week we will spend doing assessments and goal setting. Challenge starts on January 11th.
Challenge includes fully customized strength training program based on your personal goals, nutrition plan, cardio and HIIT programming, accountability and 24/7 support, group support and weekly group coaching call, and personalized habit modification.

Last day of 2020 and I have nothing but gratitude. I know a lot of people have struggled this year. There were a lot of struggles and hardships. Personally, I have been immensely blessed.
This was a year of growth and independence and learning.
In a complete and unexpected whirlwind, I fell in love with an amazing man.
For me, quarantine was a gift. I remember looking at my March schedule thinking I didn’t know how I was going to manage it. Then everything shut down. I could focus on my kids.
When work got hectic and I suddenly found myself responsible for running an entire program on my own, I learned what I am capable of and strengths I didn’t know I had.
Which opened the door for stepping into a new job that’s more closely aligned with my career path.
I returned to the stage after a 3 year hiatus. 3 years of struggles, depression, surgeries, moving, and divorce. After those 3 years, 2020 was cake.
Returning to stage meant finding myself again, but in a whole new light. I wanted to “get back to the old me,” but this new me is so much stronger, so much more powerful, capable of so much more.
I made wonderful new friends, added to the family 🐱 and accomplished everything I told myself I would. I even got to spend much needed time with my amazing sister.
Yes, 2020, I’m grateful for you. With all your craziness, it’s been a damn good year. Nothing but gratitude from this girl 🙏🏻💕💫 What are you grateful for? What did this year teach you?

✨ Looking at this brings tears to my eyes. Those before pictures you don’t want to take because you hate the way you look...take them. You may swear they’ll never see the light of day. Until you see just how far you’ve come and then you may change your mind.
I can’t share this and not give a HUGE shout out to my coach David Archer. Link in the comments 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Please know I am extremely picky when it comes to working with a coach. I don’t play when it comes to ridiculous bro science, outdated peak week strategies, or putting my overall health at risk. I need a coach who I can trust because they rely on science and data.
Working with David, I managed to drop on average 1% body fat per week over a 13 week prep. Starting at 141 and 18% body fat and stepped on stage at 125 sub 9% body fat. My calories never dropped below 1600 except for the day before the show. My cardio stayed within reasonable levels. I also maintained my muscle mass despite the rapid rate of fat loss.
Most importantly, all the bio markers of health stayed positive. No loss of sleep, s*x drive, or my cycle. I was a little cranky and crazy sometimes but I tend to be that way all on my own 🤣 He had to talk me down sometimes, for sure. I wasn’t starving and food focused at the end of prep. Cravings were minimal. I continued to have refeeds all the way up until the end. I can honestly say it was the easiest prep I’ve ever had and I brought my absolute best package to date.
I’m incredibly grateful David took me on as a client and continues to look out for me as I reverse. 🙏🏻 David’s typical clientele are males who are focused on building muscle. He focuses not only on the physical changes but lifestyle and mindset changes as well.
As a trainer I focus on working with only women. If you are a male or prefer working with a male trainer, I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to David. 🙏🏻 You will be in good hands.
