The Ballet Ensemble of Texas is excited to announce auditions for our 2026 production of The Nutcracker!

🗓 Mandatory Parent Meeting
📍 Saturday, September 12
All parents of students in Primary Ballet through Level 8 (Non-Company) MUST attend.
🔔 A parent must attend this meeting for your dancer to audition and participate!

🩰 Auditions – Saturday, September 19
📍 Ballet Academy of Texas
✨ Ballet 7, 8, and Company members will be cast by staff — no audition required. Parent attendance is still mandatory unless your student is a member of the Ensemble.

Our Level 4 Summer Workshop is the perfect opportunity for dancers to maintain their technique, build strength, and explore new styles in a fun and encouraging environment.

Each day includes:

💪 Conditioning & Stretch
✨ Specialty Classes in Jazz, Tap, Character, & Choreography
Summer training helps dancers retain the skills they've worked so hard to achieve, return stronger in the fall, and continue building the discipline, artistry, and confidence needed for success.
Whether your dancer wants to refine technique, improve flexibility and strength, or expand their versatility, this workshop is a fantastic way to stay engaged and growing all summer long!

✨ Train with Charlie Martin this summer at Ballet Academy of Texas! ✨

Level 6, 7, & 8 dancers have the exciting opportunity to work with acclaimed guest master teacher Charlie Martin during Week 2 of our 2026 Summer Intensive, June 8-12! 🩰

Charlie received their primary training at the Western Oklahoma Ballet Academy in Clinton, Oklahoma and studied on scholarship at the ABT and Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensives in New York. They joined Kansas City Ballet in the fall of 2007 and danced with the company for 11 seasons. Martin’s choreography has been performed throughout the US. Charlie was on faculty for the Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School for three years and has taught for many schools and pre-pro companies. Martin is currently on staff for Stars of Tomorrow International and has their own costume/makeup design company, KitKat Creations 20. Charlie is an ABT® Certified Teacher in Pre-Primary through Level 5.

✨ Train with Jacob Sparso this summer at Ballet Academy✨

Level 6, 7, & 8 dancers have the exciting opportunity to work with acclaimed guest master teacher during Week 2 of our 2026 Summer Intensive, June 8-12! 🩰

He received his training in Copenhagen and made his debut with the Royal Danish Ballet at the age of ten. He has been a principal dancer with Dallas Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders in Belgium, Baltimore Ballet, and Oklahoma City Ballet. He has also appeared as a guest artist with Les Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo. Jacob has also remounted ballets for Fleming Flindt, former director of the Royal Danish Ballet. He has created ballets for Dallas Black Dance Theater, Dallas Ballet, Ballet Nouveau Colorado, Turtle Creek Choral Society and Oklahoma City Ballet.

✨ Train with Andre Silva this summer at Ballet Academy of Texas! ✨

Level 6, 7, & 8 dancers have the exciting opportunity to work with acclaimed guest master teacher Andre Silva during Week 1 of our 2026 Summer Intensive, June 1–5! 🩰

Born in Brasília, Brazil, Andre Silva began ballet training at just 4 years old at his mother’s ballet school before continuing his studies at The HARID Conservatory and the Ben Stevenson Academy. Since joining Texas Ballet Theater in 2003, he has performed numerous principal roles in works by world-renowned choreographers including Ben Stevenson, George Balanchine, Christopher Wheeldon, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, and more. ✨
In addition to performing internationally, Andre is an award-winning choreographer whose work 11:11 received “Best Choreography” in Fort Worth in 2019. He is also a resident choreographer with Uptown Dance Company in Houston and recently became a NASM certified personal trainer.

✨ Train with Anna Donovan this summer at Ballet Academy of Texas! ✨

Level 6, 7, & 8 dancers have the incredible opportunity to work with renowned guest master teacher Anna Donovan during Week 1 of our 2026 Summer Intensive, June 1–5! 🩰

A native of Ireland, Anna Donovan trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet School in England before dancing professionally with the Irish National Ballet, where she rose to Principal Dancer. She later joined Ballet Dallas and has served as Principal Ballet Master with Texas Ballet Theater since 2000. Anna has also been recognized in Who’s Who of Teachers in America for her outstanding contributions to dance education. ✨
