Buckeye Outdoors Youth Education Inc & Copley Trap Range Copley Trap Range is both a youth and family oriented range located in Copley Township and we are a 100% Non-Profit Organization.

The Copley Trap Range is both a youth and family oriented range located in Copley Township, just outside Copley, Ohio. We are minutes from Akron, 30 minutes from Cleveland and Canton, and an hour from Youngstown and Wooster. The range is managed by the staff of Buckeye Outdoors Youth Education. We have 3 trap fields, PAT trap machines with Canterbury voice releases, and throw ATA legal White Flyer

targets… just like you will see at all the big shoots! We are members of the Ohio State Trapshooting Association (OSTA), Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA), National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), and the National Rifle Association (NRA). The range is open year round to the public on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. We only close if a winter storm warning is announced by the National Weather Service. We also close the range on the first and third Saturdays of June for a youth shoot and the Ohio State Trapshooting Championships. We offer leagues, ATA registered practice, and youth and beginner clinics. Check out the web site for dates and times. Food is available for donations as well as hot coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and sodas in the clubhouse.

Today we honor a great man,Bud Freeman, who will be greatly missed at Copley Trap Range and Buckeye Chippewa. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing Bud Freeman. He was family, a friend, a pillar to the Buckeye Outdoors organization, Varsity Coach for Buckeye Chippewa , Copley Range Coach. His dedication, time and passion was legendary.
