Having the sharp stances and power of a hard style like Taekwondo or Iaido, but the speed, fluidity, and calm of a soft style like Taichi, Gumdo tests balance and control while coaxing

the student to show speed and precision. Championing the occasional difficult stance but general straightforward structure, Gumdo can be easy to learn, but challenging to hone and perfect.
