My Week 3 High School Football Top Ten ranking for teams in the 96.1 The Game coverage area.

A crazy week full of big losses for Grandville (Cass Tech), Grand Rapids Catholic Central (Chicago Kenwood), West Catholic (Coopersville), and Byron Center (East Kentwood).

Had to pick and choose who stayed and who left the top ten and after an hour of mulling over it, decided the Division 2 team that scheduled a pair of OK Red opponents to start the season would stay at No. 10.

Kenowa Hills and Caledonia are ranked for the first time this season while Coopersville jumps six spots to No. 4 after the 41-21 win over West Catholic.

Coach Shane Balcom, such a great idea and hope to see this done on an annual basis.

Blue tarps covered the makeshift volleyball court until game time, when parents helped prepare the surface on Bronco Field for Coopersville's first outdoor scrimmage against West Catholic.

Beau Harris and Evan Raymond: Calvin’s season opener is at Otterbein on Saturday at Noon.

Tim Allen: FSU is 1-0 overall. They play Bentley at home today at 6 pm. They defeated Pittsburg St. 42-14 last week.
Tim had 5 tackles (2 solo, 3 assists) 2 tackles for loss for 4 yards.

Luke Stanton and Ben Burgess: Hillsdale’s season opener is home against McKendree on Saturday at Noon.

Colton Bosch: Concordia-Chicago’s season opener is at Minnesota Morris on Saturday at 1 pm.

JJ Hirdes: Illinois is 1-0 as they defeated UAB last night with a score of 42-23.

Gabe VanSickle: Ohio State’s season opener is against Ball State on Saturday at 12:30 pm.

Sam McDonald: Adrian’s season opener is against Ohio Norther University on Saturday at 1 pm.

Troy Dunneback: Hope’s season opener is at Denison U. on Saturday at 1 pm.
