Doubleday Field

Doubleday Field Play where the legends played! Since Doubleday Field was acquired by the village of Cooperstown in 1920, the field has hosted thousands of baseball games.

Also, the Field has hosted concerts, special events and football games in the past. This page is dedicated to Doubleday Field and to all those who support the history that lives on here. Doubleday Field is currently available to rent for a game slot consisting of 3 hours. For more information, contact the Village of Cooperstown at 607-547-2411. Many do not know, but Doubleday Field and the Village

of Cooperstown have been moving away from the use of pesticides when maintaining the grounds and facilities. If anyone has a question about practices and methods, please ask! With the help of Cornell and their IPM (Integrated Pest Management) program, we have been extremely successful in keeping the field and facility healthy without using pesticides.

We apologize for the lapse in activity here. It has been a crazy summer! Doubleday Field is proud to say that this summer has also been very successful. We started this past spring with delayed games due to snow and we are just now in the middle of our tournament season. Some of our highlights of this year were the Hall of Fame Classic, The Wounded Warriors game, Team USA vs. Japan Women's Classic and many other games! We are happy to see all those who visit here. If you happen to be in Cooperstown, stop by and see us!
