Farmington Tigers - Cooperstown 2014

Farmington Tigers - Cooperstown 2014 Farmington Tigers Baseball team participating in 2014 Cooperstown Tournament at All-Star Village.

In August 2014 we will be taking 12 boys to Cooperstown, NY to play baseball! Cooperstown All Star Village was founded in 1999 by Martin and Brenda Patton, a local business couple with a vision to provide baseball players ages 10 to 12 with a major league baseball experience. The Pattons' goal was to build a world-class facility with professional ballfields and uniforms for the players, and a grea

t experience for their families. The final result is Cooperstown All Star Village: America’s first and only baseball resort and tournament camp where players compete in week-long tournaments and families have fun, too!

Coach Jerry Blasing gets closing ceremonies started for our team. The team is asked to share their week long experience in two minutes or less. Our boys got together prior to closing ceremonies to outline their experience and Griffin Olson and Jackson Todd delivered on behalf of the team.

Well done boys!

The overwhelming favorite of the boys was in the mascot room and the Philly Fanatic...many of the boys wanted their picture with him.

On a side note, the boys found a photo and information on Atlanta Braves Warren Spahn whom our dorm was named. When you see the photo of him, many boys asked "How could he pitch like that?" One even said, "That looks like that hurts."

I thought pin trading was in high gear the other day...it is hard core right now. Boys are really working deals and working two or three deals down the line to get the actual pin the are seeking. Also, cash is king...biggest deal so far, $15 for one pin.
