The NCAA National Champion LSU Tigers begin defending their title tomorrow with a new shortstop wearing a new Marucci C2. This glove was made here in Cooperstown NY with a Horween Tan leather palm made in Chicago and laces made in Tennessee. Originally weighing under 16 ounce, it may be a touch over now with the one-piece web modification. I really like how the extended pinky mold with exposed edge came out over the two-in-the-pinky tailored grip in the last pic.

Congrats to LSU for winning the 2023 College Baseball Championship!

Two years ago I custom tailored a 3-in-the-pinky lining in Dylan Crews glove and did a poll asking wether to put in green or brown laces. I think you guys made the right choice!

If you blinked you missed the C2 mediums that went on sale last week and sold out quick. Here’s a peak at possible upcoming C2 models and color-ways that we’re developing: 13” outfield, 12” pitching, 11.5” shift grip in blue, 11.5” black on black.

Outfield gloves typically measure +/- 8” wide thumb tip to pinky and weigh +/- 24 ounces. This Marucci C2 13” prototype measures 11” wide and weighs just 18.7 oz.

Comparing the new C2 pattern with a traditional glove. Despite the C2 being a smaller pattern (11.5” vs. 12” here) it still has a much larger catching area. The pattern closes thumb to middle/index for medium depth BUT has an engineered open face to the ball playing like a more shallow pattern. The ball just funnels in.
