In honor of supporting one of our own siblings, Eliza, and all kids diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, Loudoun Aces 12u Gross raised money for JDRF (Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation) through our “Dingers for Diabetes” campaign. For every home run our boys hit this year, our families donated to JDRF for support and research. Our team, along with Rufus the bear with Diabetes, presented Carrie Zager, Director of Outreach and Community Engagement for JDRF Mid-Atlantic, with a check for $1,700. We are so proud of these boys as their 13 home runs meant so much more than a number on the scoreboard.
