Last call, y'all! Register for the race by tomorrow, 6/1, to ensure a personalized award.

Hey runners: just a heads up we are "bumping up" our registration deadline for personalized awards to June 1st.

If you would like the plaque on the back of your award to include your name -- along with the date and distance you finished -- register for the event by JUNE 1st.

If you register after June 1st, you will receive the same award with the same plaque on the back with the date and distance of your race only.

The awards are handcrafted here in Iowa from reclaimed barnwood. You choose the one that speaks to you when you finish!

This morning’s White Loop training run was 🔥!

THANK YOU to everyone for coming out and being part of one of our largest training runs ever!

Whiterock was looking great, there were lots of laughs and stories, and the post run 🍩 and 🍪’s were excellent!

We’ve got one more training event coming in June (Camp Whiterock on June 13/14). Follow the event page where more details will be shared.

2026 COURSE PREVIEW/TRAINING RUN UPDATE!

It's almost time for our training runs to kick off! These free runs are a great way to get in some early season miles on the course, meet others interested in running the race and to simply spend time at Whiterock. All are welcome!

- Red Loop Training Run will be Saturday, April 4th at 8:00 a.m. (yes ... we bumped this back a bit!)

- White Loop Training Run will be Saturday, May 2nd at 7:30 a.m. (no ... we did not forget to bump this one back - it will start at 7:30 a.m.)

We are still finalizing a weekend for Camp Whiterock but it will likely be early June.

All the training runs will have separate event pages. We just launched the ones for the Red and White Loop runs. if you are interested and plan to join, click "going" to let us know!

We're gearing up for a BIG year and hope you all are too!

As the holidays arrive, we’d like to thank the runners, volunteers, families, spectators, sponsors, Whiterock Conservancy staff and all others who continue to make the race and our community so special.

Enjoy this time with family and friends. July will be here in a flash … and so will our training runs!

We are thrilled to have the one and only Terry Kruse back as our race photographer for 2026!

If you've ran the WU these last few years, there's a good chance you've ran into Terry on course -- often hunkered down near bushes, behind trees, even hiding behind signs in town. You truly do NOT know where he may pop up to snap your picture on race day!

Terry does an incredible job capturing the spirit of our race through his lens and we can't wait to see what moments he snaps for us next year.

When you see him out there next year, smile! 📸
