This weekend was a lot.
A lot of runners (record number), a lot of weather (heat, humidity, fog – the works!), and a lot of change (new start/finish); however, it was also full of a lot of the emotions, traits and things that make the race special: unwavering grit, resilience, camaraderie and community.
Runners: To even toe the start line is a testament to your grit and determination. It was incredibly humid from the start, and very hot by the end. We are proud of every single one of you! We also want to thank you for taking such good care of the trails – and each other - in the process.
Volunteers: Thank you, thank you, thank you! This race is an all-volunteer event, and without each one of you, this event can’t happen. We can’t thank each of you enough for all you do year after year.
Families and Crews: You are amazing! The weather conditions were tough, and you helped keep the vibes and your runners’ spirits high.
Whiterock Conservancy: We heard so many positive comments about the trails, the beauty of the scenery and how peaceful runners found it. Thank you!
